  1. I am very concerned that my stomach is swollen . I afraid that it is fluid. Please any thought? No gas pain. Thank you to all that answer me.
  2. I am three out as being banded, can any one tell this is normal? I move my self from the sitting and getting from the bed getting up the incision really hurt. Where the port is that is the worse. It almost feels like pulling. Just don't want to do anything wrong. Any thought on this?
  3. Hey, I was banded on Thursday and came home today. Before the surgery I was 8 pounds lighter than when I coming came home today. I figured it's from fluid and swelling. Here is my question my belly is so swollen. And I am concern and wondering If this was normal and if so how long does it take to go down?
  4. My lap band was done on Thursday. For all of u said it like doing hundred stomach crunches where correct, .i am doing well other than back pain, I assuming that is gas. I couldn't be more please at the moment. Glad I was in the hospital last night as I had my blood pressure a lot and it was taken care off. Can any one suggestion on gas pains what is a good way to get thim out.
  5. We'll tomarrow is my day. I have to be to the hospital at 8:00 am. I am excited but so veer scared. Wish me luck. Any suggestion for the fist 24 hours after?what will I feel like?
  6. To all that have had the surgery! When you got home did you have a lot of pain? Did you find it very intense ? What was your first liquid and was it just a sip or are you able to drink more than a sip at a time? What was your first food like, how did it go down? My surgery is Thursday and these are some of my concerns.
  7. Well counting down the days. I am on my liquid diet, day 4 down. I am starting to get Verny nervous about the surgery itself. Someone told me that they lift your liver up. is that true? Also, one thing I don't understand. After u start eating food. How does one eat? Do you just take smaller. bites
  8. I am on day 3 of my pre-op liquid. I have such a head ache and have been getting the runs. Has any one else had this problem? Any suggestion? I am extremely tired also. I have 7 more days before surgery.
  9. Starting in the morning my first day of liquids. I am getting banded on the 10th. It is getting close so I am starting to get very nervous. Any suggestions on how to calm down a little ?
  10. I got approved fast also. My date is Jan 10, and yes I feel the same way as you do. I know That I must following the doctors orders to reduce anything bad. Good luck to you
  11. Getting excited, my date is coming up fast. I start my liquid diet on jan. 2, and my surgery is Jan 10th. I am trying very hard to avoid people with colds and etc. not easy . Any one else with same date? Anyone from Connecticut or close by? Would love to hear from you.

  15. I am scheduled for lap band surgery in a few weeks. At my per op I told them I couldn't take codine. They gave me Percocet in pill form. I was told to crush it put in apple sauce. For 24 hours after surgery I am only to have liquids. So how am I to do this? Any suggestions? Can I c cut it in fours snd just swallow
  16. I will pay for the shipping and am hoping someone would have a jacket. I don't have one and it is getting colder.
  17. Today, I got approved by my insurance company . It is a green light for Jan 10, a great way to start a new year.
  18. I have a question. I was told I will be in the hospital over night, then my last appointment they say no. I am having a hernia fixed at the same time. I live by myself and am upset with this as I was secure in the thought of staying over night. Can you tell me if you stayed overnight? If you went home? How was going home the same day? Did you need help? I am very upset with this new developement. Would love to hear from you.

  20. I had my pre-op visit today. I am on liquid for 7 days prior to my surgery, which is Jan. 10. I do have a question. I don't know how I will take my pills if you can only have sips of water. How did everyone managed this, I am a little worried.
  21. I have not told any one where I work that I am getting banded. As I get close to my date which is jan 10, I don't know if I should say why I am out. I look at it as being private. Any thoughts ?
