Counting down the days

Well counting down the days. I am on my liquid diet, day 4 down. I am starting to get Verny nervous about the surgery itself. Someone told me that they lift your liver up. is that true? Also, one thing I don't understand. After u start eating food. How does one eat? Do you just take smaller. bites

Yes, my doc said they raise the liver. As for eating, first you blend everything. I ate slot of scrambled eggs & cottage cheese. And yes , you are supposed to take smaller bites and chew longer than you did before. You'll be fine. Good luck!

Please ask your doctor for post operation food details! Many of us were on 1 week clear liquids second week full liquids meaning tomato or squash soup. I was not allowed mushy's like yogurt until week 3 and then cottage cheese in week 4. Is very important you find out what your doctor wants you to do.

Yup, they lift the liver up. I found a series of videos on youtube showing the entire procedure inside the body. I found it very informative. I can't remember the name, but search for lapband surgery if you'd like to see it.
