Yes, my doc said they raise the liver. As for eating, first you blend everything. I ate slot of scrambled eggs & cottage cheese. And yes , you are supposed to take smaller bites and chew longer than you did before. You'll be fine. Good luck!

Please ask your doctor for post operation food details! Many of us were on 1 week clear liquids second week full liquids meaning tomato or squash soup.
