New question

I have a question. I was told I will be in the hospital over night, then my last appointment they say no. I am having a hernia fixed at the same time. I live by myself and am upset with this as I was secure in the thought of staying over night. Can you tell me if you stayed overnight? If you went home? How was going home the same day? Did you need help? I am very upset with this new developement. Would love to hear from you.

My surgery was at 1230p and I was home in my own bed by 8p but I didn't have a hernia repaired so not sure how that will impact the recovery. I did have my husband with me and I needed help getting up and down so make sure you have someone you can trust to be there for you. There was no medical reason for the help... Just more for the support and to help with meds, water...comfort mostly.

My surgery was at 1:30pm so my Dr made me stay overnight. I would have rather come home being hospital too noisy for rest.

Can you find someone to come stay with you? If not you should be find. They wouldn't let you leave if it posed any problems.

My surgery was 10:30 am but my dr makes you stay over night. I was pretty sore after surgery and was happy to stay overnight. Sometimes you need help trying to sit up or get out of bed. But not everyone feels that way.

I just had surgery this morning (9:30am) with a hernia repair. Got home at 2:30 today and have my mom here with me. Glad to have her here to help me get up from lying down and refill my ice pack. Once i am up, i can walk, get water, and eat soup, but i feel better knowing that she's here in case i need help. Plus, you'll be groggy from the hospital meds and it's good to have someone remind you when to get up, take pain meds, etc
