  1. I had a fill on Jan 24th. (first) is it normal for you to feel like you r in the green, but then after 4-5 Weeks start fighting in between meal hunger again? I eat small meals every 3-4 hours.
  2. What u can eat and what u should eat r two different things. I was told one cup every 3-4 hours, 108 grams of protein (based on my weight and how hard and often I workout). Some days I am more hungry than others, but if u find u r always hungry (real hunger not head hunger) see your dr. The band is not magic, u need to eat right and exercise. Mind over matter, till u get to restriction. Best of luck!
  3. It seems like your dr. added a lot of fluid at once. Any more than one cc to me is too much. At least that is what my Dr has said. I had 2cc put in during surgery and one added, I'm at restriction. Some only need one or two fills, u never know, u may be one of those people.
  4. Protein shakes, add peanut butter. Cottage cheese and pineapple. Unjury makes a chicken soup flavored protein that's pretty good. Gotta eat at least 1000a day, 1200 if u work out, u will stop losing if u don't.
  5. Banded two months ago tomorrow, down 38lbs... One fill, I'm good.
  6. That must be hard. Hopefully with more weight loss you'll be able to move better. I see a huge difference in how fast I lose when I work out.
  7. Is everyone exercising? Cardio and weights r so important to weight loss.
  8. Don't be nervous! What u r feeling is NORMAL!! It took me a month to feel good. Everyone is different. Take time to heal, follow your dr.'s orders, and u will b fine. Congrats on the first steps in your new and healthy life!
  9. Also, I would change and increase the intensity of your workout. U gotta push through, u r stronger than u think!!! U can do it. I only weigh once a month cause it was.really effecting me negatively. Pick an amount of time, have someone hide the scale, track your food, workout really hard, and c what happens!
  10. Woohoo!!! Congrats, I know u worked hard to get there!
  11. I love Quest cinnamon roll protein bars. 20g of protein and 170Cal, they r amazing. Pb and apple slices, try recipes from Emily Bites. Go lean crunch mixed in yogurt, nuts, and get some healthy fats in by using a good salad dressing. I'm Happysim1990 on myfitnesspal. Best of luck!
  12. I have that sometimes. Some days it doesn't bother me, others it does. People on here have said its like wearing a ring, some days its tighter than others. Best of luck! Chew, eat slow, wait between bites, small bites.
  13. Try to stop over thinking everything. This is a huge change for you, your life will never be the same. Don't allow the scale to dictate how u feel. U can and will lose the weight!! If u have tried to lose in the past and failed those same feelings of frustration will cause u to doubt. Do what Ur Dr says, it will work!!!
  14. It's so weird. Today I was fine. Even had 2oz of steak. Guess we will have to learn to take it easy some days.
  15. so do you guys have pain in your chest on days that your tight? because the last couple days every time I tried to eat anything substantial my chest hurts. I had a fill 10 days ago and I've been fine except for the last 2. eventually had to throw up my food the last couple days. but I can eat protein bars and things that are kinda soft.
  16. Does anyone have days when you have a hard time eating. 1 day I'm fine, I can eat normally the next day everything comes up. I chew everything the way I should eat very slowly.
  17. U will feel better and have more energy if u workout. Sometimes I have to make myself go, but it is well worth it. U may even surprise yourself and enjoy it. Go for a walk, get a trial membership at a gym and try some classes, bring a friend. U can do this!!!
  18. Ok, I'm gonna agree with u. I know, it's pushing it a bit, but when I did stuff around the house my incisions really hurt. I even got more pain meds. Took a full 3 Weeks for me to feel like myself. I was banded 12/20 and just started at the gym yesterday. So, I say take it easy!! Best of luck.
  19. Carido at first, treadmill or elliptical and talk to a trainer about weight training. My PCP wants 45min 4-5 times a week. Build up to it, Ur body can do amazing things. Good luck!
  20. Cheese sauce is awesome! I put it in potato soup to add lots of protein. Always good to have on hand, just be sure to drink water cause it's salty.
  21. Called Dr. he said I may have over done it. I guess I'm not use to taking it easy. No fever, stomach still not right. I c Dr. Friday. Thanks!
  22. I'm 16 days post op and having a lot of pain in my largest incision. Took some pain meds, not touching it, in tears. Anyone have this problem?
  23. I have the same thing, except my lump is on top. My nurse said as long as it is not red or hot it's ok. I guess it will eventually go away. Good luck!
