After 2wks I'm allowed soft foods..I tried for the 1st time yesterday yogurt and 1 bite of boil egg and it was nasty! I tried crackers with some chicken salad that was ok..turkey cheese on wheat crackers was the best only cam enjoy three but I'm back to my protein shakes (yummy) tomorrow I'm going to go get watermelon and cantolupe! Prior to 2wks I was just drinking my yummy protein, sf jello and Popsicles, 100% sf apple juice and grape juice (dilated 1/2 w/water) I couldnt wait to eat soft foods so tomorrow I'm cooking some homemade beans w/ground beef or turkey sausage. Yes u can eat grits and mash or back potatoes with lf or fat free toppings. I can't wait to be able to gulp down some cold OJ or flavored juices

I told everyone no shame in my game!! Whoever didn't like it the hell away with them..but being the sunshine I am I had everyone's support and they can't wait to see my new form

My surgeon checks for that prior to surg and he suggest you have the gallbladder removed @time of surg..mine was taken out years ago so i didn't have those problems but I know the pain is not pleasing. You need ultrasound not sure why They did a CT scan

How far out can we eat these "cupcakes"? I downloaded all "cupcakes" recipes and can't wait to indulge in one..my first one is going to be the taco's cuz I luv mexican food especially my tacos...yummy

WOW seems some folks just flew thru psych eval..my psych eval lasted an hour and we just really laid it all out. She ask questions, made recommendations for the diet, etc..I had concerns and she took her time to talk things over with me. She was real helpful..

My nut said the longer you stay on soft foods/liquids the more you loose any experience with this anyone

Sleeved July 26, 2012 down 27lbs as of yesterday. My goal is 130-140 my start weight @ 257 and I'm 5'1. I said 150 but I was there before wanna challenge myself to go lower but it depends on how I feel

That's normal hospital day of 24hrs I stayed a day surg 2 weeks ago 27lbs down my mom had her yesterday and home today and she is walking normal..i did feel a little insane in the membrane because I decided to take 6 weeks off and I needed to get out the house. Expect a stall sweetie..2 weeks out I lost 20lbs the 1st week and i expected another 20lbs the next but I didn't I only lost 7lbs but I can't wait until Thursday to see what I lost in the 3rd week

I'm a 34yr old that always struggle with weight! I was nervous also loved to eat had high blood pressure and cholesterol. It's normal to be nervous..my daughter and I love to eat out and when I say eat out I mean dine out and spend $30-50 on food/drinks..I'm the reason my child is obese and my decision had everything to do with her. I didn't want her to feel like she was being cheated . She is 14 yrs old and she gave me the ok damn near beg me to go forth with it. She said momma now you have to exercise with me no excuses now. She always wanted to do some form of exercise but I wasnt a good support for her because I was tired and lazy! 2 weeks out 27lbs down we walk every day and she is my biggest cheerleader. Oh how I love my sweet child. I have to say I did this for her, she lost her dad @6 months and I refuse to let her be without her mom becuz of my poor habits! If I can u can I'm the biggest procrastinator and I had my surg quick! I was talkin about it in April and was sleeved July 26, 2012! The sleeve is the little kick in the but i needed! Oh BTW my biggest fear was loose skin but my psych, nut, and surgeon both told me due to my age and race elasticity is something I shouldn't worry about. I have witness a 50yr old women w/a bypass (my pastor wife) never had any plastic surgeon and looks great! No sagging skin and she was 280lbs and now 160 and she can wear a bikini and she had 2 c sections and all she did was walk! Her advise to me drink plenty of water and protein!

I'm 2 weeks post op just started applesauce and puddings on my soft food diet..on my liquid diet I only did protein, water, sf jello and sf Popsicles

Yes the surg can be covered under your medical..i got approved in a week or so. Chk your benefits it can be considered medical necessary

Hello single sleevers! I am single preop and postop always felt Fatabulous before surgery never had low self esteem and I must say i turned some Heads prior to surgery and waiting to meet Mr right hopefully I turn the right heads with my new body! Curious with the options I will have until then I'll be on cloud 9 by myself
