I've been belching a lot but was told this would eventually resolve. Do you feel all right otherwise? An unpleasant odor usually means somethings not right. You could give the office a call and ask them about this. If you're not feeling ill (I'm thinking an infection) then it's probably something that's going to eventually resolve.

Belching is normal due to reduced stomach size. The smell could be due to the fact your body has hit Ketosis. As we are on a very low carb diet, our bodies hit Ketosis. This causes bad breath and a range of other symptoms. I have attached a link for your reference. If you are still concerned , consult your doctor .

I have had rotten egg burps or sulphur burps a few times. Mixing apple cider vinegar 2 tsp with water can help or drinking seltzer water.

Burps, farts, breath all smells different when your body is going thru ketosis..do to high protein and no carbs!! Mean your body is becoming a lean mean fat burning machine..
