  1. @Ashley Just stay focussed.. Dont let yourself slip back to your old ways.. I work out 5 days a week.. Either at the gym, jogging, or riding my bike.. Its a total lifestyle change, and as the weight comes off, the workouts get easier.. I never realized just how crappy l felt my whole life, until l see just how good l feel now..
  2. @Don... I started at 421lbs @Butterbean... Thats what lm afraid of.. Lol
  3. I was sleeved in July of last year, and in 13 months l am down 180lbs.. Ive been training, and next week l will be running my first official 5K... Im excited!!
  4. I lost 40lbs on my own... Then was denied by ins because l didnt do this WW thing.. So during my 6 month WW deal, l only lost another 20, but it wasnt too much where lns would deny me again.. Other people that have different lns dont have to go thru this... I have BCBS... But in the end, it was all worth it.. Im 10 months post op, and down 140lbs.., 200 total if you add in my pre op weight loss.. So either way lm happy
  5. I had to do a "6 month, medically supervised" weight loss program.. Which meant that l did weight watchers, and during that 6 months, l had to meet with my primary Dr 3 times where he "supervised" my progress... Then my lns finally approved me... Here is the thing tho, DONT DO GOOD AT WEIGHT WATCHERS!!!! If you do, your lns will say that you dont need the operation because you are doing fine on your own.. Dont lose anything, even gain if you need to... Weight watchers will print you out a week by week of your 6 months... You dont have to stay for a single meeting, just go weigh in so that its recorded
  6. Lol... As much as you like... Consider it lasagne without pasta or meat.. I have a small baking dish, no bigger than 12oz.. I put the ricotta about a half inch thick.. Then sauce.. Then mozz... And if you have leftovers, it microwaves great
  7. In my puree stage, l lived on this, and loved it... Put ricotta cheese in a small dish... Cover it with marinara sauce.. Then cover that with mozzerella cheese... Bake it til its all bubbly around the edges... You will love it!!!
  8. Thank you guys.. Im searching on Amazon now for compression clothing
  9. I was sleeved in July.. Im down 120lbs and l feel great.. However l have an issue.. My skin is looser, and parts of me "jiggle" when l walk, jog, and workout at the gym.. The main problem areas are my upper legs (thighs) and my chest (man boobs)... Its sometimes embarrassing and makes me feel uncomfortable.. With it still being too soon for me to consider the skin removal, is there ANYTHING l can do to help the situation??
  10. It was almost a week before l dropped my 1st deuce.. During that time, my burps and farts were just nasty.. Lol... But once l dropped my 1st turd, literally, it felt great.. It was just a wee little tootsie roll, but still it was a turd.. Now l poop about every other day, and thats at 7 months post op
  11. Title says it all.. I hate these flintstones, crunchy, chalky, bad tasting rock pieces that hang around in my mouth... I need a nice vitamin pill that l can just swallow... Any suggestions??? I am 7month post of, and l have not touched my vitamins in 4 months
  12. How are you eating scrambled eggs and pureed lean cuisine after just 3 days??? I was strictly on liquids for the first 2 weeks... I wouldnt gamble so early!!!!
  13. Hey ladies... Im also from Buffalo.. I was sleeved on July 17th.. Dr. Posner did mine.. This has been my best decision ever.. Im down exactly 100lbs post op, and 141lbs overall.. I feel great, and it feel awesome wearing smaller clothes..
  14. Im also down 2 pant sizes, and 1 shirt size... Still weigh 321lbs, but my journey has just begun..
  15. I am exactly 10 weeks post-op... Today l hit 2 milestones... 60lbs lost since being sleeved, and 100lbs lost total... ( l lost 40lbs pre-op )..... My life has changed so much... Im a lot more active, l jog, l workout at the gym, and l do my damnest to get all of my protein in.. I feel like a million bcks, and l wouldnt change it for anything!!!
  16. Thats just it, its NOT painful at all.. My legs are not swollen, there is no pain anywhere.. And my morning pee really isnt a big one either
  17. The Dr is sending me for a urinalysis to see if there is a problem.. The scale he has measures fat % and water %.... i drink plenty of fluids daily, thats why l dont understand
  18. Today is exactly 6 weeks post op.. I returned to Dr for my follow up.. I have lost exactly 40 lbs... He also said that my body is retaining 14% more Water than it did at my last visit 5 weeks ago.. My scale also has not moved in about 2 weeks.. And l am only urinating once a day, in the morning.. They tell me to watch my sodium intake, but l dont eat things high in sodium.. I dont add salt to my food either.. The Dr said that the extra 14% water equates to about 20 lbs... Have any of you experienced this problem?? If so, help me please!!!!!
  19. I had my 1st coffee at 3 weeks post-op.. Regular, not decaf, and l had cream & sugar.. I was fine.. But l didnt have anymore than one a day
  20. Walking helped me.. The gas exited quicker when l walked.
  21. Pdxman... There was no line crossed, not by me, and not by butterbean... I literally just finished EXPLAINING myself, yet you still go and post that comment.. Makes no sense!!!
  22. Yes hun.. I had my surgery on July 17th... Dr. Posner did it, and l feel absolutely anazing.. I am down 36 lbs in 4 weeks now.. I can be a great support person for you, just ask... It is good to have local peeps to talk to
