sheila2050 got a reaction from nglalainenin in 14 Weeks Out, Up And Down At The Same Time.
There are all kinds of very brief "exercise at work" suggestions. Just a couple of minutes standing up, stretching, or chair exercises might relieve some of the stress you are feeling about missing exercise. I do 10 minute walks because I can't face the prospect of a longer one. Maybe you could try a 5 minute walk at lunch, IF there's any time left over.
Anything you do consistently, no matter how small, will build your exercise habit and get you headed toward more exercise in the future.

Mu surgery date was June 29. I am also about 50 lbs lighter. I have had to downsize my bottoms as well its a great feeling to go down in size instead of up. Exercising for me is an issue too. I work from 10 til 7 and am on my feet all day too, so when I get home I just want to relax. But I am making it a top priority. Good luck on the losers bench.

That is great weight loss! I will be 5 months in a week and I'm only at 73 pounds. I have 21 more pounds until Onderland! I want to be there so badly. I don't think I'm losing like most. There are a few peoplethat are already at 100 and was sleeved in May like me! I can't figure it out. I'm happy though with my loss but I wish it would move faster.
So glad to hear you are doing so well! I know we couldn't lose this much weight without our sleeves in this amount of time. I do feel blessed.

I to am just starting my journey. I have finished all my pre-op testing and now am just waiting for my surgery on 12/19/12. I've told several girls I work with and they are all very supportive and understand why I'm doing it; my husband, however, is a different story. He loves me the way I am, and is afraid of the "dying on the table" risk, but he also understands why I'm doing it. After all, if he loves me that much he should want me around longer right? lol Just remember you are doing this for YOU, not anyone else. Keep your eye on the prize and you'll get there for sure. Anyway, good luck on your journey and can't wait to hear about your victories..

I'm happy for you. You have so much to look forward to; and now your children, when they come, will have you for a long, long time. Great way to break the cycle!

I did go this morning for my final consult. Although, I wasn't told that I would be there 4 hours so my husband was pretty angry. Anyway, my surgery is now scheduled for October 22. I came home with the meal replacment powder and all the vitamins that my doctor requires. I can see that it is going to be a struggle to drink 5 shakes a day. I have been drinking on my first one for over an hour. : (

Congrats on the approval. Hope everything goes well for you.
Not for nothing- but there is no way in hell that I would have been walking around anywhere with that paper vest. The only way is if the the techs would have stripped down as well to see how they liked being paraded around. I would be lodging some sort of complaint about the level of care, lack of common sense and compassion in that office.
