  4. Mu surgery date was June 29. I am also about 50 lbs lighter. I have had to downsize my bottoms as well its a great feeling to go down in size instead of up. Exercising for me is an issue too. I work from 10 til 7 and am on my feet all day too, so when I get home I just want to relax. But I am making it a top priority. Good luck on the losers bench.
  5. I couldn't get past the smell of the Unjury protein either. I like GNC Properformance chocolate caramel shakes with Silk Almond Breeze Dark Chocolate.

  7. I am four days post op and am using gas x strips that dissolve on your tongue and seem to be helping me a great deal to deal with gas and bloated feeling. Sip sip sip its a balancing act that is for sure.
  8. I feel your pain, my surgery is on the 29th. I am actually excited to be on the mushy phase. I have never been so tired of drinking in all my life. I feel like I am a float. Our countdown continues for a few more days. We can do it.
  9. I think we all feel overwhelmed when we get the call. I was called on the 8th of June due to a cancellation on the 29th and had to get all my pre op stuff done the following Monday. Now I am on my two weeks of liquid diet. Taking it one day at a time.
  10. I was told by my surgeon to only drink clear liquid like chicken and beef broths, sugar free jello, and sugar free popsicles. Protein shakes and of course get all your water in.
  11. I too have only told a few friends and my parents, of course my husband and my 2 boys know and support my decision. My husband is trying to get a revision from lap band to the sleeve too. My nurse coordinator said "the easy way out is sitting back and getting more sick and gaining more weight." She too have surgery in 2003.
  12. Thanks for all the support. Today I had my pre op stuff done and waiting the 2 weeks will be torture. I am going to take it just one day at a time and keep busy.

  17. Well, I am approved and have a surgery date set for June 29. So many good emotions about this. I am so excited to get this journey in my life started. Just not looking forward to the liquid diet that I have to start on the 15th of June. I just have to take it one day at a time.
