I was told that I can still use the nuvaring after surgery.

I need to change the heading to "second surgeon says yes". I went to see Dr. Shikora at Brigham & Women's today and he actually thinks the surgery will help alleviate some of the other issues I have! So excited-now I just have to figure out how to tell my husband!

Look on livingsocial and groupon for laser hair removal treatments if it doesn't go away. But I can tell you that my dr said the weight will affect my hormonal variations and it may slow the growth, but it won't take it away. Note: if you choose laser hair removal, let it grow in a bit to reduce the number or visits you have to go for. Usually three should take it away for at least a couple of years I am told by a friend who has a lot of facial hair because of her ethnicity. I have yet to try it but she is a pro and I have never seen a hair on her! So I'd take the advice. good luck!

Hormones are stored in fat cells... the short answer is YES... this is likely related to surgery, and the release of said hormones from those fat cells you are shrinking. I already lean towards the emotional, so I'm a bit concerned about post-op. Ha! Enjoy the ride, I'm sure it will soon pass.

I had a relatively ok recovery. I wouldn't say I'd do it again but I am allergic to narcotics and opiates so I had NO pain meds until I stumbled upon children's tylenol. If the can take the pain away, it couldn't have been that bad. I was sleeved last Monday. I am returning to the office on Wednesday but if I really pushed I could have gone today. My big reason is that my incisions are under where the underwire on my bra sits, so it can be uncomfortable to wear one. hope this helps. If you have a physically strenuous job, I would take two weeks. Don't overdo it.

I understand. I was just saying that it may.... without knowing exactly what someone is or is not taking. Just saying. Just giving my $.02 and take it for what it's worth. Everyone is different.
I would much rather be doing stuff lol than picking weeds... I think it's important to look at things that affect your partner as well. If not it may/may not lead to other issues. Think about it as important to them even if it's not to you. Not judging or being an ass, just saying.
Probably should have never even commented on this one...

Quick question, what if he orders a glass of wine, how do I politely tell him that I
can't drink? (I did drink before surgery, but I since I have not since surgery,
I am not sure how my tummy will handle it and I don't want to throw up on the first date.)
Any advice/suggestions??

The doctor's assistant recommended Tomato Soup. I'm kind of picky about Soups, so I can really only have Tomato and chicken broth.< /p>
