  1. I am also 2 weeks out today and eating purees, oatmeal, eggs, soft cheeses and other soft foods.
  2. Mine was pretty close to this...full liquids on the 3rd day and purees day 10. I seem to be tolerating everything pretty well except the Protein shakes...they make me feel queesy...I just take a pill afterward and that helps. Today...I am having a starving day...all I want is something to eat. I had oatmeal for Breakfast, refried Beans for lunch, scrambled egg for a snack. I feel way too full now! Of course I only had about 6 teaspoons of each item. I hope I am not over doing it!
  3. I had terrible "head hunger" whille on full liquids. My family had pizza, my fav, and I took a bite, chewed it up and spit it out. I just needed the taste. I am doing mushies...so what ever I fix them I just puree for me. Had chicken stew yesterday!
  4. I was sleeved 6/25 and have lost 13lbs in 12 days! I was like most here and gained a few pounds in the hospital!
  5. Sounds yummy...gotta try it!
  6. Keldolbeth...we have the same sleeved date! I started mushies yesterday! I had bean chulpa all blended up..it was great. I have lost 11 lbs since the surgery! I didn't eat any watermelon after all but I am going to get some when I go grocery shopping. I lost 22 pre op.
  7. Anyone here have a little watermelon in the mushie stage? Since it's the 4th of July....everyone is eating it but me!
  8. I agree with you 100%. I had the stinking band for 5 years and all it caused me was misery. I never had good restriction and could eat all I wanted...but got stuck, slimed and barfed on a regular basis. My sleeve doctor said the band was not in the right place and it was way tooo big (thus the problem). I hate the band and would never recommend it for anyone. I had my sleeve 6/26 and have lost 10 lbs in 9 days! I am drinking my water and doing my walking...walked today in the 100 degree weather today...gonna wait till it cools off to do it again!!
  9. Where do you find wonton wrappers?
  10. I was sleeved on the 25th too! I had a band removal too so they did not let me come home till Thursday. I quit pain medicine at the hospital 2 days before coming home. Not taking any at home either. I have been pain free and sleeping on my side. My problem is I had such bad head hunger...I just want a bite because everything smells so good!
  11. I am also six days out. We had baked potatoes last night for family...I made some with sour cream added mild to make it Soup...could only eat about 6 bites but it was good. They are having chili tonight so I guess not chili soup but I would sure like some. I also had a small cheezit cracker... dissolved it in my mouth before swallowing...it was sooo good. I just miss the taste.
  12. I am six days post op and I would love to have something besides soup, protein shakes and pudding. I wonder if I could have some potato liquified with skim milk...anyone have that?
  13. I will be glad when I can have mushies!!
  14. So far I still like the protein shakes! I just want something with more flavor! I can start mushies on the 10th.
  15. I love the MIO it is really good and made with splenda. I also agree about the Premier Protein...I love the vanilla! I am pre-op my surgery is scheduled for Monday June 25th. I am a protein shake-aholic! I hope I continue to feel the same after the surgery!
  16. I can have full liquids starting day 3 and starting week 3 I can have soft mushy foods...then full foods!
  17. Great advice! I love hearing success stories. I am scheduled to have my lapband taken out and get sleeved on June 25th.
  18. I am scheduled for Jun 25th. It was on the 18th but I had to move it back because of my work schedule. I am very ready and excited. The 18th worked out much better for my home schedule but we have an audit at work and I am the lead.
  19. When I had an allergic reaction to codine...my cheeks were bright red with sploches.
  20. I am like you...when I had my band I told everyone...but it was a whopping failure so now I don't really want to tell anyone. Only my husband, youngest daughter and mother know. At work I just told them I was having the band removed. I think after being such a failure with the band I just don't want anyone to know...I guess I am afraid I will fail again!
  21. This recipe was great! We loved it and it was moist and delicious! We did the same thing with a turkey breast the next day. When it was done..I shredded it and added liquid smoke and franks hotsauce. My family ate it on buns like barbeque..it was awesome!
  22. Wow CowgirlJane you are an inspiration to me! Thanks for your comments, great work and encouragement!!
