  1. Go and enjoy yourself. At Subway get whatever meat and veggies you love and use a fork and don't eat the roll. I eat out all the time, most of the time I am perfect but I do eat bad sometimes. Do the 'girls' eat out more than once a week? Because once a week is no biggie.
  2. I love what you call your bat wings! That one is great. Thanks, I needed a good laugh today.
  3. Very nice menu and a lot of work. Can you please share your ice cream recipe with all of us???????
  4. I buy only chocolate. I add a little decaf instant coffee, some peppermint extract and ton of ice. I also use 8oz of skim milk. I love them and have been having for breakfast for over 1 year. I use a Hamilton Beach small blender that is also the drinking cup. Sometimes it takes a few brands before you find the one. I buy Body Fortress. They sell it at Walmart, in the states. Good luck with everything.

Wonderful news that you are having the band to help with your eating. I was never a binge eater, so I don;t know about that. I am happy you are dealing with it. I always ate the wrong things and too much of them. I don't go without but I am very in control. I have had about 6 stuck moments and they suck, mostly from eating too fast.

Congratulations!!!!!!! on everything. Being a bride is wonderful. You will have to share pictures, please, of the thinner you and your great dress.
  7. Sorry you felt so bad. I only have chewable vitamins and minerals. I have fish oil, fiber, D, B12 etc. I do have liquid colace and powder miralax from the doctor which I add to drinks.
  8. Good luck with your new surgery. Sorry to hear the by pass failed. I am almost one year with the band and love it! Follow the doctor and dietitian's rules/thoughts and you should be good.
  9. Congratulations on your 1 month. For stage 4 I was allowed meatballs with sauce. I wasn't allowed steak but the ground beef was, maybe ask.
  10. Very smart, when something doesn't seem right, call the doctor. Sorry to hear your asthma is so bad. What are they going to do about the band? Feel better and rest.
  11. Today my husband had an appointment in downtown Boston. We never go there even though I live about 10-15 miles from there. If you know Boston there is a real tourist trap for non-stop eating, QUINCY MARKET. Very famous place since the beginning of our wonderful country. My idea to go walk around and have lunch. After walking up and down and looking at pizza, ice cream, candy, Italian pastries, clam chowda, lobster and other goodies, I had a very boring salad. I was good. Hub had a chicken & cheese Philly sub with fries. After we went walking around and my idea, again, we stopped at the Boston Chip Yard. Fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies. They are small and I did eat 4 of them over an hour. I was bad. About 32 years ago we had a push cart at Quincy Market in front of the Chip Yard and Carmel Corn popcorn. I ate both every day and at closing the Carmel Corn people would give us the left overs for free. I didn't see them today, happy about that. If you ever visit Boston this is wonderful place to visit, they have street entertainment, tours, Old Ironsides isn't too far away and the wonderful Aquarium is near there too. That is today's tour of Boston and eating. Enjoy your weekend. Arlene
  12. I have bad knees, see a doctor. You may have to have PT or have the knee taped. I have done aquatic pt in the past and it was the best. The rehab center closed the pool, so I don't go anymore. I went 2-3 times a week for about 2 years. Loved my 'pool ladies'. I have had shots in the knees many times, surgery, so the best is see the doctor. Good luck with it.
  13. That is wonderful to be able to find your own green zone.
  14. I have been married 42 1/2 years. I get for no reason gifts. I once mentioned I wanted a diamond wedding band, he surprised me with one! You never know.
  15. you are a very sweet man. Lucky wife and husband, works both ways.
  16. i would call your dietitian about the Chia seeds/nuts. I never have anything without asking first. Go over your menu with someone, see if you are doing something different. Have you been exercising? I have been within the same 4 pounds since February and my surgeon is thrilled with my loss.
  17. Good for you. I love your words and how you use them. Don't give up BBQs or weddings etc. Go, just have fun without thinking about the food. I go to everything and properly. I am Jewish and in September I was only banded a few months and went to a New Year's break the fast buffet. I ate perfectly and didn't think about other people and had a nice evening out. My son does Texas BBQ catering, I eat his food, just a small amount of what I know I can have. I am going to my brother's for Father's Day. Don't give up your life. Arlene
  18. I add decaf instant coffee and peppermint extract to the chocolate and it becomes a very thick shake. I only drink chocolate, Body Fortress, with 8 oz skim milk and use tons of ice. I have a small blender that us also a drinking container
