Its black denim, have picked out a new seat and better pipes for it....I've wanted a Harley for 15 years and am so excited I can't sleep! By next spring i'll have lost my weight, got a good tan, and be riding!!!! Another bucket list item coming true!
  3. It's reallly up to you, but I would try for size 10....
  4. Thanks you guys! I can't ride it yet though LOL I take my riding course november 2,3,4th then i'll be able to ride it! I'm going to practice riding on a smaller bike that my friend has first, before i get on it. It's not a big bike but i'm new at this so i'm going to take it easy! 2 of my dreams are coming true, losing weight and getting a motorcycle. My husband has made both of these things a reality for me. I thank God for him for helping do some things for ME. I am so thankful for him and his love for me. Weve had some hard times but we're really enjoying each other now...
  5. I'm having a second thing become reallity that was on my bucket list ( the first was having WLS), I'm geting my brand new Harley Davidson Motorcycle saturday! I'm so excited.
  6. I am 4 wks out and still have weak days every now and then and i've noticed its on days I don't quite get my fluids in. I'll feel dizzy and have a slight h/a when i stand up and walk. If i increase my fluids it passes.
  7. I think the sleeve is one of the most important investments you could make! Having you around a lot longer is the most important thing for your family!!! Good luck and keep in touch!
  8. Thanks for the pics they're similar to my experience in tj. with dr almanza. Reminds me of my surgery, especialy the blue liquid! Yuck!
  9. I was sleeved aug 28th ( One month ago yesterday), I'm healed up and just started soft foods. I'll answer any questions you may have if i can. I've lost 23 lbs so far..Feel great most days, everynow and then i still feel weak. I have no regrets at all, had a good recovery.Keep in touch.
  10. That's a great loss! Send pics soon!
  11. A heating pad will be your bf post op for the gas pains. My heating pad helped the gas pains so much, and was a comfort. I sucked on hard candy post op (ask your surgeon if it's okay mine said it was), it helped with the dry mouth, and wanting to taste something ... a book to read, a notebook for journalling. a camera( took pictures of friends made during experience in mexico).
  12. What a difference! You look great! Keep it up! I'm one month out today and have lost 23 lbs...Yay for us!
  13. Good luck, and have fun on your trip. I went to TJ aug 28th and had a great time. It's very different there, they drive crazy so wear your seatbelt!LOL! It was a neat experience for me. I stayed in San Diego as well. it's a pretty place...
  14. Best of wishes to all of you new sleevers!
  15. I woke up for some unknown reason. maybe to talk to you! I don't know...I get worried about people easily im a nurse and I just can't stand for someone to be in pain and cry...
  16. I still have days where I feel bad. I was sleeved aug 28th and I hate those days! Our bodies and minds are going through a tremendously big change right now. If you have 3 weeks to feel better thats a long time, stay positive and follow post op directions and take care of yourself... You've lost some weight and that's a great accomplishment. Hang in there, everyone heals differently, don't compare to others, I know that's hard to do. I feel weak and sore some days and great the next, it's weird...take care and keep intouch....
  17. so sorry you are having so much trouble, have you called your doctor? Have you been back to the dr.? Sounds like you are in a depression, bad... I would see the dr. be checked out real good, make sure you're getting in your protein, follow the weight lifting restrictions closely in case you have a problem in there... I'll be thinking about you....
  18. I had follow up appointments scheduled prior to surgery as well....
  19. I have chronic constipation and as a nurse the best thing i've found as an everyday, gentle treatment is Miralax. I take a 17g. everyday and I don't have cramps/diarrhea, just normal....
  20. I'm almost 4 weeks out and i have crappy days as well... Seems like about every other days I feel weak, have a headache sometimes, then it lifts the next day?
  21. I have 5 incisions 4- 1/2 inch, and one- 1 1/2 inch...
  22. That lip-smacking thing is bad news! It's not funny but I had to laugh at your post. I'm a nurse and have seen that reaction before. LOL sorry...
  23. I hope you can go ahead and have surgery... Maybe you won't break out any more...
