You will do well. You have already made the big decision to lose the weight and is headed in the right direction. I was once in your shoes. As a matter of fact, I resented getting my sleeve until 3 weeks post-op. Once I saw I was able to eat smaller portions and the weight start falling......I knew then it was the best decision I have ever made in regards to myself. I am a bread lover and now I am able to look at it and move on. My head is strong on losing my weight. The best advice I can give anyone is to plan your meals, make healthy choices and to drink plenty of water and liquids. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mellymama,
My surgery went fine. I had pain the first day, but I am mostly sore. I trying to stay on target with my fluids. I am on 1 week of Clear Liquids and after that, I will be on a full liquid diet for a week, as well. I will be visiting with my doctor on Tuesday. I will keep you posted as i continue with my weight loss journey.

You are not alone in this battle. Your thoughts were also my thoughts. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning and I am questioning myself, as well. However, when it is done, I know I will not regret my decision to have this surgery.

All of you are very encouraging. I am due for surgery on Wednesday, August 8, and I am so scared. I had thoughts of backing out. However, when reality sinks in, I know I need this surgery in order to live a healthy life.
