wannabheathy got a reaction from mzshay35 in I'm approved!
I just approved for surgery but I have no date yet. They did my final weight check yesterday and they said I GAINED 3lbs since my last visit in late March. So before they set a date they want me to lose 8lbs by next week and started me on my pre op diet and it is hard as a
hell but I am pushing through it.

wannabheathy reacted to JustJenn in I've started to gain weight again and my hunger after 9wks!
I'm so sorry you are having a difficult time. Support and prayers for you. Just take it day by day and you really need to consider putting the scale away. But, been there done that I think I put mine away at 6 months. I was obsessed and would kill mojo if my# didn't drop. It's a roller coaster for sure.
I can relate, I don't dump I can eat. I feel hungry all of the time and have zero time for the gym. But keep in mind we have a tool not an easy way out. DVD workout work great. But cleaning and keeping a child busy is a WORKOUT! you are always burning calories just maximize it!
Sounds dumb but I do this:
    Park far
    Take the stairs
Hold my daughter whenever possible (she's 3.. 30 lbs!) she loves the extra attention
When shopping go around a many times I walk target and the mall I look lost but whatever LOL
I walk on my lunch breaks
At home I have the big ball in my living room so I don't sit on the couch
I do squats in the shower
Find what works for you! Sending you hugs!!
    Surgery date 7/25/12

Don't give up!!! If you can't leave the house have a time morning or while your baby naps to have a DVD work out for 15/30 mins & you should be good. I'm almost 12 months out. Haven't gain but if I let my self go as far as I can eat. I know I will gain (I think) I keep my self like break lunch dinner exercise 3 Snacks finish. Even if I'm hungry I don't over eat.

wannabheathy got a reaction from Marisela in Questions - Sleeve vs. Bypass
I have sensed some division between the sleeve and rny patients too. I haven't had surgery yet but after research I have settled on the bypass cause I have PCOS and insulin resistance. On other sleeve forums I been on they do talk down about the bypass saying that the pouch will stretch out and you will lose restriction over time and that the sleeve won't do that cause it's formed from the non stretchy part of the stomach. In my option both surgeries can be successful it just depends on how you rock your weightloss journey. It doesn't matter which surgery you pick we are all bariatric patients and we should support each other, period!
