Tracy.. guess you're sad to see him go? This is the first episode I watched this season, and I only watched last season before. So I know James & Amanda, but the rest are new to me. And there's sooo many people right now, I don't know how you keep up with them all. Time to go check if TiVo tells me who is goin home on AI!

Wow Judy that IS an NSV!! GRATS!! Just popped in real quick to tell ya'll (I'm cookin dinner)... remember a few months ago my sister said some sheriff came looking for me? Today I got a notice that I have a registered letter from "Small Claims" under my maiden name. Curiosity killed me, so we went immediately and picked it up. Ends up, someone is suing someone with my name (different middle name though). So their Private Investigator dropped the ball, he just decided I was the same person based off of my name. Johnson. How many johnsons do you think there are around here? What a moron. So I called the attorneys office, told the lady the issue, she hangs up on me, when I call back it goes to the "We're closed" crap. Real winners there. I found his e-mail online, explained they have the wrong person and I'm not going to officially respond to the letter since it's not me.. good luck!

This Is Normal.....Right?
From what I've heard, people with a 10cc band can take a little bit longer to fill up. With only 1.8cc, you just need to get more fills. Don't panic You have a long way to fill that thing up. If you only have a few things get stuck, maybe you're eating too quick or not chewing enough.

I agree with Pam, I never buy expensive jewelry online without checking it out. But for Zales, I find out what's going on at the store online, then go to their store in person to check it out. And sometimes they really deceive you in the pic of the item!!! ---- I guess I'm completely oblivious here, or you guys did it on a time when I wasn't online for a few days and missed posts.. I had no idea. I just now noticed it on Terry's tag, and now I see it in yours.

HoW Do I Put A Pic Up Under My Name Not In A Post?
If you mean like this <------------ Go to 'edit profile' on the right side of your screen, then on the left side options, select 'edit avatar'. You can upload your own picture if it is 50 pixels x 50 pixels. Or select one of their pics. Or use the html of an already uploaded pic that is 50x50.

How to deal
My husband's exact words are "I dunno.. I think you can do it on your own". Really, they haven't been in your shoes. My situation, I've been fat my whole life and I've tried dieting in my teens and even if I lost, I always gained it back + some more. But I was doing it whether he liked it or not, and luckily I just had to tell him "Well, you're wrong". I was finally in the mentality, with or without support it needed to be done. I was going down a very dangerous road.

Garlic Summer Squash
The other squash thread made me think to post this. I came up with this, it's nothing special. But I bring it to work for lunch occasionally and everyone who tries it is in love with it and wants the recipe! 1 fresh summer squash. I have not peeled it in the past, but the next time I try it- I plan to. It does hurt going down for me, and I think it may be the tough skin. Cut into thin round slices, heat a skillet with a little bit of EVOO and a little bit of real butter (not margerine).. I don't have an exact measurement, I just put a dab of each. When skill it hot, and everything is melted, add a tsp of minced garlic (I use it from a jar), then immediately add the squash. Sautee till nice and softened, and then I like to leave it a little longer, till the squash gets black spots. I put it in a small tubberware, and about 3 pieces fills me up. It reheats, refridges, reheats, etc. very well.

question about when to eat.
This is really a hard one to answer, and I am positive it varies from person to person. I am very tight in the mornings, and some days I can go all afternoon before wanting to eat. Then someone at work makes something that smells good and INSTANTLY my stomach starts rumbling! I keep good Snacks in my drawers for those times, 100 calorie packs, a bag of roasted edamame, can of pineapple, etc. Other days for whatever reason I am super hungry in the morning and get a small carton of milk or chocolate milk from the vending machine.. it ties me over till dinner... and before 6pm, anytime I am hungry it is legitimate hunger. After 6pm, I have cravings and head hunger until I go to sleep. On a good day, I say NO and drink a lot of Water. On a bad day, I'll nibble on things throughout the evening. In the evening I have the hardest time deciding if I am truly hungry or not. Sometimes I don't care, I want to eat regardless. Sometimes I can reason with myself to wait till dinner is finished.. don't snack! Etc.

Bluenile is a money pit, when I was looking at jewelry there, they don't sell anything under $1,000 that I saw!! For jewelry online, I've looked at Zales (They have sales sometimes), and QVC. I bought DH a gold chain necklace a couple years ago for his b'day. I don't know how thick the cm's mean. But it was $300 (on sale, and after haggling!!) from some local jeweler. As for your spicy meat.. make a faux Shepherd's pie. Layer the (cooked) meat on the bottom of a baking dish, put (cooked or thawed) broccoli on top of that, (optional) add cheese on top of that-or on top of the potatoes.. then put made mashed potatoes on top of the broccoli. Bake for 20-30 minutes.

I can taste the Saline after my fill
All my fills for months were going into my body (not in the band), and I never tasted it. I think I know what you mean though, when I had IV's and they put saline in, I can taste the saline. It's in the blood. I would think the minute amount put into your body for fills-even if they injected directly into a vein, would not be enough for you to ever taste it. Maybe it's a mind game? Your body thinks you should taste it and you do?

I need a pin up name!! Help me!
Not to be off topic, but I had to laugh... Rose (my gran) lost her husband when he left her for Ginger. They were all born in the 40's, so very fitting. :biggrin2:

Mississippi Republican presents bill to make it illegal to feed obese people
This is pretty local for me, as shocked as I was to first hear it, it ends up he was just trying to prove a point (which evades me now). He had no intentions of it actually passing (no kiddin?). Just a slap in the face along with everything else. Society has no tolerance for teh fat.

Fine until....
Cool just wanted to say, the 2nd thoughts are normal. They will likely double after your surgery, before you get adequate restriction. But anywhere from 2-6 months post-op when your fills are kicking in, 92% chance you'll be pretty darn happy. This forum is key for me in success. Anytime I feel like I'm doing things wrong, or am just down right discouraged, there's people here to support you.

Because I care about the other blog.. haha uhm
Ok I found my other blog on accident the other day, and decided to update it. Since I updated it there, I'll copy & paste it here.. that way I look like I blog!! Uhmmmm..yeah did I mention I am the worst blogger in the history of people that attempt to do it? ----------------------------------------- So it's been a long time. In September I had to have revision surgery to fix my port. They thought it was leaking, but it ends up the booger flipped 180 degrees! Go figure for me. However, as soon as they fixed it.. they were able to fill that bad boy up and whamo! I am now 240lbs. That's -93lbs for those of you counting. I'm tight as.. some funny analogy of tight stuff. I rarely eat before 1pm.. and sometimes I'm so tight throughout the whole day that I just nibble or drink liquid meals. I'm still excited about my band. I've got about 60lbs to go. I went from a (bursting out of) size 26/28 & 5xl shirts... to 15/17 pants and 1x shirts. I am tall, so take into consideration I would never be a size 6 even in an anorexic moment. I'll just die of happiness if I reach size 14 pants. Since I forget to blog, the next time I check in will likely be when I'm 14. Who wants to take bets on it?

Jennifer, i've not heard of that (chocolate to every meal? COUNT ME IN!!!) hahaha. But my best friend who's been dieting a lot, swore by FlaxSeed Oil. She said it tightens the skin, so in theory it would tighten your pannis(sp). She had that oil in all her salads, on chicken, etc. I bought flaxseed oil tablets after banding, but the pills are so big I don't take it. I have seen the flaxseeds in a bag at the store, and I keep saying I'm going to do it. it sounds like from the things you mention, it's getting 'good fats'.. except the chocolate, not sure how that ties in. So maybe I'm wrong! I don't like any nuts, so I am very lackadaisical when it comes to getting them in. Maybe I should try.. God knows I need to get rid of this tummy flap. It's just hanging there like a deflated balloon.. tucked into my undies! Kat- Yup, if the IRS looks into them, I think they will lose everything. DH said he's going to try to make them do the taxes (he's tried for years, I dunno what's different now) I remember a few years ago when we were trying to get financing for his college it was an issue because they hadn't filed taxes in so long and they needed that info for him to qualify for financing. He never got it, due to this..and I had a big tuition bill to pay off before we could get a mortgage for the house!! I am guessing this is why the gma put everything in DH's name, so when they do lose everything, they don't lose all her money too.
