:smile2: And a belt buckle the size of my head?
  2. Eggplant.. hm.. best description IMO.. uncooked it tastes just like a summer squash tastes uncooked (yuck). And cooked, I guess it tastes a little like zuccini. I have always fried eggplant in the past (soak in salt first), and it's good. It goes bad so quick, so I rarely buy it. I bought some this week to make something like ratatouilli, but later found out tomato/tomato sauce is main ingredient in that and.. no thanks. I'll let ya know how the broiling in spices goes. It is good, it doesn't have a strong flavor of its own though.
  3. I got a good kick out of this, especially the explinations. Complete with YouTube goodness. 6 Movie Formulas That Must Be Stopped | Cracked.com :smile2:
  4. Just so ya'll know.. I am eatin more stuff I never liked before, and now like it kinda. I still hate tomato sauces and most italian food.. But I'm eatin more chicken, and getting into spices. I think the lamb & duck really turned me into spices. I read roasting ideas for chicken, and they all have either/or of certain spices.. but I like mixin it all together! I'm making a roasted whole chicken tonight, it's been marinating since last night in lemon, 4 crushed mill peppers, thyme, sage, rosemary, salt, and evoo. AND I'm makin eggplant.. and not frying it. Never made it without frying before, but a co-worker is a vegetarian so I was askin her for recipes that are healthier with eggplant. Going to try roasting slices in some concoction she told me about. I'll let ya'll know how it goes!
  5. I'm not into the Protein powders/bars.. but I googled it for you just out of curiosity. This website has quite a bit of recipes for brownies, etc. I am sure they are advertising their own powder in the recipes, but I assume if you use your powder brand it would be the same. They also post the calorie/protein/carb count. Homemade Protein Bar Recipis
  6. I like the pic you found online. I look horrid with short hair, so for those of you who look good with the short hair, I envy you!! I normally keep it shoulder length, but DH is so into the long hair and I had long hair when we met, so for whatever reason I've been growing it. The kicker is, he use to have shoulder-length hair (*MELT*) too, and HE won't grow his back out. So one-sided.

Oh nos! Now I'll be all confused and my days are messed up. Do I mark an X on the calendar or not? :smile2:
  8. Alright, to get this ball rolling. This Tuesday (Last Tues. of Feb) Feb. 26th at 5:30pm at Madison Square Mall. If you're interested, please PM me. If we get enough people wanting to go, that will be the first meeting. :smile2:
  9. I like your hair best in the last picture. And you could do a really cute down-do with that for the wedding. Much like your pic, but put a tiara and/or veil in the middle of your head.
  10. I feel for you. I wanted to be a teacher, but the thought of those asshats that ruin the class for everyone (I despised them in school) were too much for me. I don't have the temperament to deal with it. HUG A TEACHER :smile2:
  11. WOOHOO congrats on seeing your ribs. I still have no sign of them, I carry most of my weight in my stomach, which I swear feels like it'll never go away. I do have hip bones now though.
  12. Indeed!! I was refunded $4,000 extra this year, only because of my medical bills with the band (self-pay).
  13. It's always nice to write out when you feel happy about things, so you will remember it. It's also nice for others who may not be having a good day to see it and remember. GOOD FOR YOU!:tt2::smile::ohmy:
  14. My plateaus were extremely frequent in the first 6 months. I went 1 month with 0lb loss (and 0lb gain), 1 month with 8-16lb loss, then another 0lb month. I keep thinking I'm hitting another plateau, and then whamo the scale moves. Plateus are a lot less frequent for me now-- I would have thought it was the other way around. But it's not, so maybe your plateaus are getting out of your system now!
  15. Hm.. maybe saying your daughter overheard you were thinking of doing it, and she's confused. 8 year olds get confused, yea? Deny, deny, deny. Option 2, tell her yeah you did it, you don't think it's any of her concern..thanks but no thanks. I like that Quaker commercial where they give kids the chewy granola bars to shut them up teehee.

I got the big gazunkas, but my nipples have NEVER pointed perky. They really haven't changed since banding. Coffee can is more precise for me :tt2: ARE WE THERE YET?!?!?!?!?!?!?:w00t::thumbup:
  17. A typical ejaculation fills up about one teaspoon; the actual amount is determined by a man’s age (younger men usually make more semen), when he last ejaculated, and how long he’s aroused before ejaculating, among other factors. Contrary to what you’ve heard, semen is not loaded with calories. Each teaspoon of ejaculate has about 5 - 7 calories and some 200 - 500 million sperm. Since sperm make up only about 1 percent of semen, what accounts for the other 99 percent? Well, its other ingredients include: Fructose sugar Water Ascorbic acid (a.k.a., vitamin C) Citric acid Enzymes Protein Phosphate and bicarbonate buffers (bases) Zinc Can swallowing semen enrich a poor diet? Unless you’re gulping gallons of it each day, it’s no substitute for real nutritious cuisine.
  18. This kind of stuff piss of any other tax payers? I know it's not in America, but it may as well have been. :tt2: ----- 16-year-old Argentine girl has given birth to female triplets - for the second time. The girl, named only as Pamela, had her first set of female triplets aged 15, having first given birth to a son when she was just 14. All seven children were born prematurely but without any kind of fertility treatment. While doctors say the three newborns and their mother are well, the case has sparked debate across Argentina. In bars and cafes, as well as the letters pages of newspapers, there has been widespread criticism of Pamela's alleged promiscuity. Pamela's family already receives help from the provincial authorities, which donated land and built them a house when the first set of triplets was born. Pamela's mother, who cleans houses to support her daughter and rapidly increasing number of grandchildren, says they will now seek more assistance from the government for the new additions to the family. Some Argentines are arguing that perhaps what Pamela needs is more advice on contraception. The teenager, who will be 17 on Monday, comes from the remote town of Leones in the central Argentine province of Cordoba. BBC NEWS | Americas | Triplets born to teenager - again
  19. I think I offered before with no takers and I gave them to someone who works here, but it was time again to get rid of several pair of jeans. I have size 19, 21 & 23.. 35" inseam (tall!) jeans up for grabs. Bell-bottom/flares and some have patterns on the back pockets. Stretch (not to be confused with elastic). They are from alloy.com and some of them have only been worn once. If you'd like them, they're free, as long as you can pay for shipping. I ship from work, which is discounted, so I don't think it will be anymore than $10. PM me if you want em! :tt2:
  20. I have heard some people didn't like it, but the only book I read post-op was Lap-Band for Life by Dr. Ortiz. I really liked it, it was an easy read and it addressed issues I had not heard from my doc or on the forum.
  21. Grits were a staple for me. Chili from Wendy's-puree. Refried beans from Taco Bell. Yogurt, canned cream soups- either puree or strain.

  23. Grr!! I called the plaintiff's attorney on this summons today, she couldn't find the paper work.. so she asked for some info, and I said.. I'm not giving you my info, here's my phone #, call me when you find the paper work. So I called the courthouse about it, and they said they can't do anything. I have to file an official response, and let the 'judge decide' (PFF), or the attorney has to drop the complaint. I'm not payin to have an official response served, I did that when I had to sue someone for vandalizing my car, it costs about $60. And I'm not giving them my personal info, so they're not gonna tag this on me. Sounds like a real good attorney this lady got. ---- Kat I thought of you this morning, our local radio show was talking about stolen identity and some woman in Nashville whose paperwork says she's dead. She tried to correct it a while ago, and when she went to get her tax refund this year, they said she's dead again. WHAT A HEADACHE!!! And they're saying she won't get that rebate now either, etc. I couldn't imagine.
  24. 1 week till the wedding Tracy?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! 238lb last night. WOOT. Ok I'll stop my moaning. ((HUGS)) for Terry. Have fun Judy! I wanna cruise!
