I did 3 days clear liquid and 30 days full liquid. The time will go by quickly. Try to keep yourself busy doing other things so you won't be thinking about food.

Congratulations having a date! The "excited, terrified" feelings are quite normal. Just focus on the prize. You are doing great losing weight before your surgery and it will help in the long run.Just try picking your healthiest options, eat slow, begin drinking a lot of water and you might want to try some Protein Shakes and see what ones you like . I got a mixer bottle from Walmart and used EAS Whey Protein Chocolate flavor and it mixes really well with water. Pure Protein has ready to drink containers. Just a thought. We are here to encourage and support, but what you're asking takes medical knowledge and that we don't have. Chez & I are encouraging you to rely on your Dr and not who knows who here. Really sorry this is not what you were hoping for, but its the best we got. I wish you all the best with this problem and please keep us informed what Endo says! Maybe it can help someone else!

I too didn't have to do pre op diet. I started in May at 274, day of surgery 241 and I'm now at 5wks post op at 224. First fill scheduled 11/26.

Problem is, she's only been banded since Nov 2. She needs to heal a little more.

That was my problem when I was first banded. I sip,sip,sip to fast fast fast. It wasn't until Jean McMillian (Bandwagon) told me an ounce every 15 mins and then I felt better. Glad you're doing better! This whole experience is a learning process and I think we'll be learning for awhile.lol

I'm I understanding this correctly, 6days post-op and 6cc in your band already? If so wow! I'll be 6wks next Monday and that's when I'll get my first fill. About the pain, Call your Dr please.

Don't give up yet. I have Aetna also and did all the same things you had to do. Once they got all my info it was a week to the day for approval. I too had met my deductible and wanted it done before the end of the year. It makes things tense, but don't give up yet!
