I love love love that book. I own it and have read it a number of times. Matter of fact, was looking for it the other day. It means getting down on my knees went and I didn't know have the strenght to do it. This should be a must read & read & read to everyone. You get the picture don't you. If people don't want to read it b/c it mentions God. It is NOT a religious book.

I thought you lived in someplace FL? I live in some place FL and have never had to wear 3 layers of clothes. Plus you said you got egg salad at Publix, Publix is only in southern states. Busted!!!!!

I really don't understand hiding your weight loss? Sooner or later they will find out and it seems if they see you losing little by little will be better then all at once. How you going to explain that? I know I'm not going through this to hide my new, better health.

Whether you tell anyone or not is a personal decision we all make. Even if your co-workers notice and say anything , all you have to say is, why yes I'm losing weight, thanks for noticing I've been working very hard to eat healthy. Only tell if you want to.

Did your Dr say how long to stay off bike? My surgery is Oct 15 and I've been wondering. Congratulations on being on the banded side! Best wishes!

SWFL here! My surgery is Oct 15. I've been on my 6mth supervised diet for 7 mths now. I've lost 29 lbs. Dr said a month ago just needed to lose 5 lbs before surgery, that was 10lbs ago. No liquid diet before surgery, yay!!! Best wishes to all!

Welcome to LBT! I too am pre-op, Oct 15 . I've been stalking this forum for months before I joined and know have been here daily for 7mths. You will find a lot of very friendly people, who are full of knowledge, support & inspiration. Oh ya, some craziness too. Hope you post often & best wishes on your journey!

Wow, 41 lbs down is great! All I can say is follow your Drs. orders on what to eat. I haven't been banded yet (Oct 15) but I plan on eating what the Dr says on what and when. Best wishes on your journey!

Could be from the soap. It doesn't necessarily have to effect the whole body. I know this b/c I'm the Queen of sensitive skin. could be from the soap

I think Monday morning you should call your Drs. office. If it was right after surgery, I would think it was an allergic reaction to Betadine, but if it's been awhile since surgery I'm not sure. I really don't think Calamine lotion will help, maybe Cortinsone 10 lotion an antihestimine (sp?). IMO

I'm terribly sorry about your mother! Having a brother successful with LB must be a little comfort to you. I wish you the very best! Please stick around and post often. There's a lot of support, wisdom and inspiration here.
