Sept 12Th Surgery

Hi again. Okay so we are 10 days post, done everything right...on soft mushy and puréed. Here is the question, my fill is not for two weeks, I want to move to soft solid.....little scared though but feel great. What was your first solid, tries/attempts to eat. Please go off on this one....I've been doing soups, jello, pudding, chili puréed, mashed taters with chicken broth, etc. I'm Ready for next step? Also with the three week pre op n swimming, I'm down 41 pounds to date. Thx in advance for your help.....

Wow, 41 lbs down is great! All I can say is follow your Drs. orders on what to eat. I haven't been banded yet (Oct 15) but I plan on eating what the Dr says on what and when.

Best wishes on your journey!

That is a great weightloss. I was banded on sept 11th. I'm on full liquids but at my post op they said I could do refried beans with cheese and low fat sour cream. And mashed potatoes. I did have a luncheon turkey sandwich but I don't think that was a good idea just because I can do it doesn't mean I should. so today I was back to my normal diet jello, soup, beans blended and pudding. I can have my first fill on 3 weeks post op. I find that I can eat more in one sitting but I don't I pre measure everything to keep myself from over eating. My advice is follow your dr orders and know soft foods will come soon. This too shall pass. Hang in there
