  2. Dammit pppb BB is Banjo!!!!!! How many times must we go through this? Stupad b***h! xoxoxo
  3. NC is one of my favorite vacation spots. It would not hurt me in the least to come up there and kick ass. I remember being 16yo and 122 and thinking I was so fat and going on a strick diet. Now 40 yrs later, the rest of the story.....
  4. Sorry about that BB! It won't be long. Isn't your weather really crappy now anyway?
  5. Yep, don't push really hard. The laxative will work believe me. Drink a lot of water. Worse comes to worse, ask Dr about Fleet Enema or Glycerine Suppositories.
  6. I was banded Oct 15 and after that first week, I felt the same way for awhile. I'd run some errands and be exhausted. Good news is it didn't last long. Make sure your staying hydrated and getting your protein shakes.
  7. Thats why you have to like what you have on the inside. I don't think we'll ever look in a mirror and totally love what we see. I just look this morning and said to myself "yep, your face is getting thinner, but now you need a facelift, which isn't going to happen". I also know I will not like looking at my saggy skin, but I'll like covering that up. Can't cover up my face. LOL Point is, I will never be a 10, but I love who I am! I AM SPECIAL!
  8. Remember we all are unique. There's not one person like us. No one has your fingerprints, only you. Isn't that amazing, all the people in the world, present or past, and you are different. That's what makes us SPECIAL Love your uniqueness! I am special!
  9. Lead me to um my little pink princess cub!
  10. Ewwww, don't eat baby food, that's gross.lol I just made a big pot of Taco soup and put a cup in the blender. Much better then baby food. You can make all kinds of vegetable dishes and put them in a blender. Fat free refried beans, black beans. FF ricotta, marinara,ff cheese warmed in microwave.
  11. Fun story. I reply earlier to this threat I was pre-op at the time. I told you how I have had sciatic problems and then a car accident messed the rest of me up. Well when I went in for my LB, my sciatic was so bad I was laying with my hand under my hip to relieve the pain. They took me back to surgery and when I woke up the first thing I said was please take the pillow from behind my head. My neck was killing me and it continued for 3 days. The LBS was nothing compared to my neck pain. After swelling went down I no long have my neck & shoulder problems that I have been suffering with for months and therapy for months and I no longer had the sciatic pain either. My Sleep Number bed is my best friend again. I feel like I got a 2 for 1 with my surgery. I heard the recovery nurse tell another nurse they had a hard time with the air tube.I think what happened is, they manipulated my neck while I was out and relieved a pinched nerve. 9 months of pain and all I needed was lapband surgery. Go figure!
  12. PS as far as going out to eat, that's ok, just make better food choices and bring half home for the next day.
  13. I would just start using the LB rules and keep track of your intake. Many of us use MyFitnessPal for that. Every meal 1cup of less, starting with your Proteins first, veggies and then good carbs. Total of one cup for all three. Eat very small bites and chew 20-30 times putting down your utensil, wait 1 min between bites and you're done in 20 mins- whether you finished every thing or not. No drinking until at least 30mins after your meal 64 oz of Water a day exercise 30 min a day Every Drs. orders are different and this is what mine told me. This is all just a suggestion. The best thing to do is get a hold of your surgeon and talk to them and maybe see a nutritionist and find out where your problems lay. I wish you all the best!
  14. Sounds like an excellent plan. But really 6 lbs in 6 wks is still within the 1-2 lbs a week rule. It's good that you can see where you can make improvements. My best to you!
  15. This is hard to answer without knowing where you are on your journey. My first week I was so bloated and swollen from the surgery & hernia repair that I thought I would bust. Just sipping water kept me full. Now I'm two weeks out, I can drink as much as I want and I do get hungry, but the recommended diet I'm on works well for me. We'll see how it goes after meat and other foods are added back, might need a few fills. Best wishes!
  16. I only told the people I knew I could count on to support me. I didn't want to hear any negative crap from people that had no clue what is involved with having the band. As I lose weight, if anyone ask how, I will probably tell them.
  17. Magilla Welcome to the forum! 27 lbs is a good amount to lose. When was your surgery? I was banded Oct 15. You will find a lot of support, knowledge and inspiration here. Best wishes on your journey!
  18. you know I am! Banded b*****s Unite!!!! Must protect the princess(mostly from herself).
  19. Thank you AJ. Please don't ever leave us b/c of what others do. Yes, I was corrected accepting and not excepting. I knew It didn't look right, but I thought what the heck. Some people have such low self esteem problems that they try to make themselves look better and in the long run, they make themselves look like pompous asses. That's their problem!

That has to be one of the best NSV's I've ever heard! I love your no room for failure attitude. You're going all the way baby!

I too am very sorry for your families loss. You have faced a lot of challenges these last few weeks and have done very well. You have been on here daily encouraging others and all the time facing a terrible pain in your own heart. I know your husband needs you right now, just as much as you need him and I hope you're together soon. I pray that God will give you peace in this difficult time!
  22. Now we'll never know if you're talking to us or your band. We all have names for our bands, if you didn't catch that thread take over. AJ-Yellow Rose CG- Dixie CB-Lil Sexy I can't remember the rest!
  23. Well coo love a duck, Tex is a bloody limey! Maybe we're related??
