  7. Another great article Jean! I always look forward to them. You give us food for thought. When I first read the article I just looked at it as a business deal. Economy is down, more ppl going to other WLS. I just figured Allergan is moving on to bigger & better investments.
  8. Welcome Tessa! Glad you are here. A lot of knowledge, support&inspiration here and glad you can be here to encourage newbies like myself.
  9. Another benefit from cutting sugar, your skin feels so much nicer.
  10. Drinking warm Chai tea helped getting 8 oz down
  11. The first week was hard. Glad I was on clear liquids first three days. At first full liquids were hard too, but everyday got easier & easier. At 2 wks I'm able to get in all my requirements. I take Centrum chewables along with chewable calcium. I actually chew them together b/c taste of calcium isn't bad, but multi is just bearable. Dr said no gummies too!
  12. I'm almost 3 wks post op and had hernia repair and even to this day, I can still feel it some. At night when I roll over I can really feel it. I sneeze a lot and at first it was no,no. As time goes on will get better. They say 6 wks for full recovery. If it does concern you, check with surgeon.
  13. Exactly!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend GF!
  14. Dude, I'm a couple days ahead of you and yes not only can the port get uncomfortable, but also get pains off & on where there is no incisions even close by. I was told that in making incisions, nerves can be temporarily damaged. But yes, my port swells & goes down all day long, depending on what I'm doing. Wishing you success!

  18. OMGosh!!!!!! I can not believe that they refuse to help her where she is at. What ever happened to the idea of the patients well being and not whether they have insurance or not! I'm really glad she has you with her to help her through this. You both will continue to be in my T&P and thank you for keeping us updated!
