  1. My doc only wants me to do two days clear liquids before surgery. After reading about all the different diets and problems on here I think I will do the diet for a bit longer!
  2. Gallstones are an awful affliction. I had some pain and discomfort, my doc asked me where and when I explained he ordered the ultrasound. I am having my gallbladder removed at the same time I am being sleeved, the date can't come fast enough. Get the ultrasound, it'll be so much better to catch it now before the attacks start. Best wishes
  3. I had to get the referral from my primary, take the education class, surgeon consult, I then had to gain about 15 pounds, multiple meetings with surgeon, abdominal ultrasound (gallstones NUT appt, psych eval, upper GI scan and now just waiting on the ins. approval. All in all I have been working with my surgeon since May and it hasn't been too bad. I am so excited to get my surgery date and begin my fresh start!!
  4. I am right there with all of you!! I cannot wait to lose all this hideous weight that I've held on to for so long! A few things I won't miss are: the overwhelming feelings of shame when I eat or pass up opportunities to go out, having quad boobs because bras cannot contain the girls, my flab resting on my legs whilst sitting, and feeling the need to overcompensate in other areas so people won't feel I am unable to keep up.
  5. Thank you for the information! My mind is on overdrive and I was worrying that I would have to strip down for the appointment or get completely grilled, lol!! I feel tons better knowing its just going to be a conversation
  6. What exactly happens at the appointment with the nutritionist? I am almost done with hoop jumping for my insurance, and am getting so nervous about every appointment. I am going in to the nutritionist soon and have myself super worked up about it. Any information will help!!
