October Sleevers-Weight Loss Stall/Slower Loss Now
Per all the research I have done regarding the sleeve a person can lose 70 percent of their excess weight within the first year to 18 months and it can take up to 2 years to lose 100 percent. I just think sometimes people get so down on themselves about slow losses and it can have a negative impact on ones journey. Also I find that too many people compare themselves to others on the forum and we are all so different. I am not trying to make you feel bad, but just bringing a little reality that not everyone loses at the same rate.

Boot Camp anyone?
So today is going much better since I started with dense protein. Mio is helping greatly. I should have 9 glasses in by the time I leave work! This is day three and I am hoping for great results on Sat's weigh in. Hubby and I are going on movie date Friday and we agreed to take jerky and almonds.

Boot Camp anyone?
1st lesson learned- I will never eat a chobani yogurt to start my day. Way to many sugars and carbs and it made me hungry. I need a more dense form of protein, egg whites, chicken, fish etc. Even though I wanted to cheat, I did not. I just bulked up my salad for lunch. I ate 975 calories today , 39 carbs, 94 proteins, and 30 sugars (damn yogurt was bulk of that). I am still slacking on water at 64 oz. I am struggling getting more!

You have 5! Won't you sleep better tonight? Lol I never noticed either and I was self conscience until I looked and realized I have 5. It is kinda crazy though!!! How do you "vote" for a profile?

Pregnancy after VSG
I am 38 as well and we want one more. My doctor said 18-24 months after. I think we will start trying at around 12-15 months. It is middle ground and not sure how long it might take. I had my first at 30 and that was a bit ago.

My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
This^^^^^^^^ I am glad everyone thinks "this" is so easy! I still fight for my weightloss and if I f-up the scale reminds me. It is still a challenge after surgery and is not a cure for fatness. If not used correctly one can fail. I think it is horrible that her friend is being down right disrespectful.

My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
Wow, some friend. To me she sounds very jealous. She is hating that you finally made this decision. I think it is totally not cool that she even has her daughter calling you that! My daughter is seven and she doesn't even know I had WLS. You may just need to tell her that her support is not needed and her opinion not welcomed. Please do not let this one person make you doubt your decision. WLS is not an easy decision. If you are any thing like me you beat yourself up without needing outsiders beating you up. Good luck and congratulations!

Are You a Half-Fast Loser?
SleeveandRNYchica commented on joatsaint's blog entry in Gastric Sleeve Surgery - An Unexpected JourneyI say I am slow by forum standards, but according to doc and nut I am where I need to be. I work out 5/6 days a week some days I eat 40 carbs some days I eat 80. Some days my calories are less than 800 somedays they are near 1000. I think what people need to remember is our journeys are all individual. I am pleased with MY progress and that is all that matters. Of course the post with someone saying they loss 50lb in 3 months gets attention because pre sleevers hope that will be them and post sleevers are wishing that was them. It just creates a vicious cycle of disappoint. I am not saying that person should not post their success , but people should be realistic and need to understand this process is different for us all. I stopped hanging around the boards because other people's whining about their slow weight loss had me doubting myself!

is pasta really that bad for you, when you can only eat 2oz ?
I have whole wheat pasta once and I was 4 post. I did not imply in my post that it should be rushed. I answered the part of the question is there anything wrong with it. The poster did not indicate how far post op she is. Why does everything on this forum have to turn into a debate? You answered your way I answered my way.
