  1. . My surgeon is very confident that a revision is possible and will be successful. I am confident in him. I am just nervous. All surgery comes with risk. My sleeve surgery was so successful as far as the recovery. I had a healthy pregnancy and my labs are perfect except low vit d. I am concerned about my overall health with the RNY.
  2. I am having surgery in October at Fair Oaks.
  3. I don't have a lot of leave. I am just wondering because I am having a hernia repair too if that is gonna require a little more time.
  4. So after the months of meeting insurance requirements, I have a tentative date of 10/7/15 for my RNY. My sleeve surgery was 10/1/12. I went into the sleeve so prepared mentally, physically and emotionally. I followed the rules post sleeve, exercised went to all NUT visits etc. I have had some unexpected complications post pregnancy that has lead me to thus revision. I am nervous about have another stomach surgery after 2 sections and a sleeve. The preparation for my first surgery (2 week liquid diet) was tough but I made it through. I am SO not looking forward to that! I had a really easy recovery time with my sleeve with no complications. I hoping for a similar outcome. I think it's the possible complications that scare me. It's the fact I have already altered my insides once! I am just talking out loud. But I wonder how others that have revised whether from lapband or sleeve have felt about having to go through a second surgery. How did you handle your apprehensions?
  5. Thats awesome! Now i just have to figure my time off work.
  6. Do you have any medical issues such as GERD for revision?
  7. I lived abroad and had my surgery abroad so they do things a bit different. So for my revision FepBlue required - psych exam, weight history since having sleeve, 3 month preop diet. Look in the fep book it is all outlined. I started the process in April, but I had to have some other tests done and they found some issues with my sleeve. So honestly I probably could have been done In Sept.
  8. I have a tentative date of 10/7/15!!! The insurance coordinator just called me! Since I had my initial sleeve surgery abroad they needed documentation of my follow up care to show compliance, which I have. I emailed her my nutritionist log and my post surgery blood work. Tomorrow I will drop off the body fat scan my surgeon did preop and 6 months post op. She said she is seeing the insurance companies ask for more documentation showing compliance so she wants to be sure to send the a complete overview of my sleeve history!!!

  11. @@scoutmom I haven't been approved yet. I have my final weigh in this week. Them they submit to insurance. I am hoping to have surgery in October. I told the coordinator I want to have it at Fair Oaks. I had the option and I felt it was a better one. Is it true their rooms are private?
  12. My paperwork should be submitted by the 1st week if Sept. I am hoping for an October date. I am sleeve to RNY revision. I had my 1st surgery 10/1/12...
  13. I would love to hear more about your experience. I am having sleeve to bypass revision and I am nervous too. Much more than I was for the sleeve.
  14. Wow, the fact that you said you don't want to unload your grief in her...that is so profound in the fact you want to give her the time and space to figure herself out even in the midst of your pain. You sound like an amazing husband and friend. I am sorry you both are going through this. I hope you find the necessary avenues to assist you.
  15. Wishing you the best! I don't have an answer as I am also having Sleeve to Bypass sometime in late Sept/Early October. Please keep me posted. I am interested in your recovery, how it differed from sleeve surgery. How long has your dr said you should be outta work?
  16. oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness! You just made my day!!!!! Jumping up and down! Lol! Glad I can make someone's day! Just refer to the fepblue book u can see it online. Follow those guidelines and u should have no problems!
  17. I am not sure when you date would start. Is your physician doing your nutritional counseling? If so that may work. It has to be a complete 90 days. I have FEPBLUE basic. My 1st appt June 3rd, 2nd July 15th and 3rd was August 8th. I have go weigh in on September 3rd and that will make 90 days.
  18. Fepblue is not 6 months, it is 3 months
  19. I had the sleeve 3 years ago. I have to have revision due to Gerd plus a couple other sleeve complications. I honestly wish I had opted for RNY initially. I must admit I am more anxious about having revision surgery than my initial procedure. I know many successful RNY'ers!
  20. So @@scoutmom was absolutely correct all this time they said they didn't have it but now u at approved! So good to know!
  21. 2 weeks exactly! So happy for you!
  22. How is everyone doing with their conversion?
  23. You look simply amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Wouldn't not have even noticed your arms. I'm not sure if you posted somewhere else, but can you please provide your stats, when was your surgery please?Start weight on my first doctor appt was 225 lbs, Day of surgery 213lbs, today 143lbs surgery was March 16 2015. You do look great! I know you said you are concerned with your arms. I would give yourself sometime for everything to settle. I hear people say their skin rebounds a bit little by little.
