  1. Aw... I wish I lived closer... I would love a workout buddy
  2. Congrats on the phenomenal weight loss!!!!!
  3. Oh... The cravings are still there just not as bad and really after surgery you can't physically have what you crave. Then down the road you don't hardly ever get cravings or at least I don't.
  4. The only thing I have been focusing on in my fitness pal has been my protein intake. Then I notice my sugars. What should that number for sugars be for the day and what else should I be watching? I normally hit around 800 calories a day and around 90 grams of protein. I had surgery 02/21/12 and have lost 105 lbs
  5. I went to the mall with my son today and was walking by a window and saw my sideways reflection and was like wow.. I am getting smaller.
  6. Good luck to you on Monday !!!
  7. Wow amazing... That is one of the things on my bucket list... Congrats!!!!
  8. You look awesome!!! Keep up the good work
  9. Too funny..!!!!
  10. You guys look adorable!!!!
  11. Officially hit 100 lbs gone today!!!!!!!! Still have 75 more to go but feel great about this milestone!
  12. Eating is a very social thing... After surgery you won't be able to eat... And what you can eat wont amount to very much. Your surgery will be your excuse and your tool to not eat the things you shouldn't.
  13. My husband used sick leave he had and that's why he filed fmla. That way it wasn't held against him when he took off. If your husband can schedule vacation for your surgery and it not be held against him then I would say he wouldn't need to file for fmla protection.
  14. He had to use either his own sick leave or vacation time that he had available to use. A spouse can use up to 80 hours for dependent care a year. They have to use any leave they have accumulated.
  15. Isnt it a great feeling???? Im so happy for you!!!!
  16. My husband took a week off with me... thank god he did.... My dr filled out the FMLA paperwork that his work provided. No issues!!
  17. I agree with DL.... walking has been about it for me too. I have a couple of pair of really good tennis shoes and I just hit it everyday. I did download some apps... daily butt, arm, and ab workouts. They are 7 minutes and I do them sporadically at best. In the past anytime I invested in equipment it became a coat rack... so Im just sticking with good old fashioned walking this time around.
  18. I started losing my hair around the 4th month. I will tell you that it was a major freak out moment when I noticed so much hair just falling out... I was afraid to brush my hair. Put my big girl panties on and Up'd the protein started taking biotin and washing my hair with a biotin based shampoo. Took about a month and now not so noticeable that the hair is falling out. So I am hoping I nipped it in the bud.
  19. I'm so sorry... The pain is different for everyone... But it will end... I started feeling better around day 7. Hang in there and don't be afraid to take your pain meds!!!
