  1. I personally would concentrate on protein and stay away from the carbs. 8 months out and I dont eat any bread... one it hurts and two empty calories. I know that protein helps you stay fuller longer. Just my 2 cents.
  2. Welcome to the boards. Glad you are here!!
  3. I have lost all those numbers and still have more to go and it has been LIFE CHANGING!!!! Best decision I have ever made.
  4. Have you tried upping the protein and water before going to that measure. Are you getting up to 100 grams of protein a day? Might want to try that if you havent. Good luck
  5. I didnt have staples so I dont know. But definatly worth calling your doctors office.
  6. Oh honey I am so sorry... prayers you and your familys way.
  7. You will see that alot on here... pouch is what your stomach becomes after surgery.
  8. lol.. my pouch even after all these months doesnt like anything too hot or too cold... my family is getting sick of me saying... ooh my pouch doesnt like that or oooh my pouch is.... it's like its own entity. ha
  9. hang in there honey!! keep us updated on how you are doing!!
  10. Congrats... its an awesome milestone to reach!!!!
  11. Give your body a chance to adapt. Please be patient... The weight will come off.
  12. ok ladies... patience is key. You have dealt your body quite a blow. Follow the program and the results will follow. Protein should be between 60-90 grams a day. Water and exercise are also very important. Your body will release the fat when it is good and ready. You guys just have to stay strong and do everything you are supposed to do!!!
  13. I tell everyone. It has been that life changing. Most that can benefit are receptive.... to my face.. lol!!!
  14. that is so funny. I didnt buy any til I had lost 100 lbs... crotch was hanging to my knees... my new ones are so small compared to the parachutes I was wearing... so funny!!!
  15. I like the saying the lady from the world according to egg face uses... premium pouch space is for protein. Limit the carbs... it does not help with weight loss at all. Cravings are all in the mind. Do not let eating consume your mind like it has done to so many of us in the past.
  16. I hate exercising too... tried weight lifting, running anything. The only thing I can tolerate is walking. I get up at 5 every morning and walk a mile. Then after dinner around 7 at night... if no ball games my husband and I walk another 2 miles. I have started swimming because I really enjoy that ... we have an indoor pool in our town and am working that in when I can. I agree with others... when you hit the stalls...exercise is one of the keys to get the weight to come off again.
  17. I am choosing to do neither. I have read of too many people gaining the weight back after doing one or both. Why risk it?
  18. wow you are looking great
  19. I am happier now then I have been in years. I would do it all again in a heart beat!!!
  20. Rotisserie chicken dark meat and dip in something wet. I use ranch or balsalmic light
  21. Ive dumped and it sucks!!! At least you know now that you have to resist temptation!!
  22. Wow what a story. I there is anything any of us can do... just ask!!! You will get alot of support here!!
  23. Oh and I gave up coffee the day of my surgery... I literally cried one day smelling my husbands... lol!!!
