After you check with your doctor you may want to start drinking a herbal tea called smooth move. I drink it about every other evening. It really helps.

There is an herbal tea called smooth move of all things. You can get it at walmart. Drink a cup before bedtime... I drink a cup every other day. In my opinion better then taking a pill

You arent weird. I looked forward to surgery too. It is life changing. Dont worry about the psych eval.. .you will do fine!!!

Im 8 months post op and I have to make myself eat every 2 hours or I get a sharp pain in my pouch. Still weird to this day to not get a hunger pain.

welcome to the boards. It took me 4 months to be approved. Had to be on a 3 months supervised physicians diet

only 500 cal a day and your body is in starvation mode. Up the protein, exercise and get your water in. Most of all have patience. Like Jenna said this is not magic. Your body is gonna hold onto the fat as long as it can. Have Patience.

It's getting colder and I'm looking for some High Protein Soup recipes. This one is good and easy. Rotel chicken Soup 1 can of rotel 10 oz can of chopped cook chicken 2 c chicken broth Throw in a pot and simmer. It is surprisingly good. It makes 3 servings so you will have to adjust protein g by how much your serving size is 135.2 cal per serving 1.9 g fat 4.3 carbs 22.7 g protein Anybody got any other soup recipes???

I have lost a few. I am more active now and I think they liked having the fat grumpy friend around that was always ready to bitch and complain with and Im just not that way anymore. But am happier now then with all that weight...which includes my not so true friends.

I had to have to this filter. Hurts like hell Im not gonna lie. I cried thru the whole proceedure. I opted to leave mine in as I didnt want to go thru the pain of having it taken back out. Research I have done online and when I discussed with surgeon lead me to believe that was okay. I have a pretty nice looking scar on my neck and am 8 months out with no other issues with the IVC filter.
