    Pre-op diet all liquid?

    I did about three weeks of pre-op diet, but mine was a mixture of shakes & protein bars. Think I had like 5 small shakes & 4 small protein bars per day.

    That is awesome, congrats! I have a fitbit as well, unfortunately I'm not allowed to wear it at work so it hasn't been getting much use as of the last month and a half.

    Any breakfest

    I usually just do yogurt and feel full until around 1-2 pm, even though I do make myself eat a small lunch even if I'm not hungry, or I'd end up not eating until dinner.

    Mine are definitely still there, the little ones are going but they are taking their sweet time fading. Two years out.
  6. It definitely is not. I've met quite a lot of people that assume lap band is as easy as getting it done and then you'll magically lose a ton of weight with putting no real effort into it. By completely changing up my eating habits I have managed to lose 152 pounds over the last two years, and I'm 120 from my actual goal weight. A lot lost, a lot more to go. But I'll get there. I'm doing everything I can be doing to reach it. Highest was 445-450, current is 293. Best thing I've ever done to help me get my weight back into control, for sure.
  7. Personally, I don't really 'crave' much. I love what I eat, I always have. And that pretty much consists of yogurt or Protein shakes for Breakfast, salads with some chicken for lunch, and salmon/veggies for dinner. It's easy, simple to make and I can switch veggies up within my dinner & lunch with whatever I have on hand. I don't exclude any foods either, I feel like if I tell myself I absolutely can not have it, that I will want it even more. I allow myself the free will of eating 'badly' if I really want to, and 99% of the time I usually sticking with my healthy meals because of that. The only strict rule I stick by is that I make all my meals myself, so I know exactly what goes into it. No pre-packaged foods. I do enjoy wine often with my best friend, however.
  8. I haven't really noticed a difference in how people treat me. The only big change is me more so being less quiet than I used to around others, I have more confidence with myself. I don't really mention my weight loss to them, they don't really grill/talk to me about it. Although there has been a few times where they have noticed a significant loss before I have and congratulated me on it. I do get asked for recipes a ton as they all know I love cooking and know I make everything I eat, myself.
  9. I am just about to hit my 2 year mark with the band and I am down 152 pounds. I have had no issues, no complications, nothing of the sort. I did hit a plateau for a while but I made it through. I am now currently at the lowest weight I have been at in maybe 10 or so years, as depressing as that is thinking about my highest weight point. I've come this far, I can definitely push myself to my goal! I wouldn't have been able to do it without this forum being here, it's always nice to be surrounded by people going through the exact same thing as you are. And the success stories are amazing. Before I could barely move around without having joint pains/etc, currently I am going to a gym first thing in the morning/a second gym at night (because addicted)/zumba 3x a week as well as many walks throughout the week. I would go back and do it all over again, much sooner, if I could.

    For those just starting out

    Thankfully I have never ran into a person that had anything bad to say to me about getting my band done, everyone has been as supportive & encouraging as they possibly could be. I hid my scales pre-op, and I haven't looked at them since. I'm a happy lady for doing that.

    gaining weight! :-(

    Toss the scale out for sure. I had my surgery done two years ago, and I haven't looked at a scale at home since. The only ones I will let myself look at is in the doctors office when I go in for my monthly check ups or other appointments, and when I do my monthly weighing/measuring at my gym. I dropped 30 pounds pre-op, gained 15 post-op and then I started dropping again. You will fluctuate for quite a while after surgery, and again when you start introducing solid foods. Do not panic about it. Just follow what they say, and all will be good.
