  1. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
  2. So I'm going to flagstaff, AZ tomorrow. The elevation is 6,910 feet above sea level and it has me worried. I just got a fill today Friday 9/7/12 of 1/2 cc for total of 8cc in a 14 cc band. I asked my doctor if it was ok to go, she said yes but my band would get tighter but I should be fine. Has anyone expircenced being in high elevation with band?? Please comment, I'm super nervous
  3. For me I love to shop and buy new clothes all the time but I have found myself slowing down since I won't be in the same size for to long. Ive always been after good deals though, I don't know if you have a DD's discount or Ross near your area but I can find shirts and bottom for a steal 3.99 to 9.99 on tops and bottoms no more than 14 dollars. Also I have a couple of friends I sell my clothes to when they don't fit or have a yard sale to get cash for new clothes. Also check at your doctors office for support groups, mine has a group that exchanges clothes every month. Best wishes!
  4. I was banded in the us, and my surgeon but almost 6 cc during surgery, without me knowing. I had somewhat of a set back due to tightness and lump in my throat feeling. My other doctors " his colleges", emptied my band and we babied my process...
  5. My doctors orders are 24 hours liquids, 24 hour mushie, then back to solids "as tolerated" unless I feel like I need more time on mushies
  6. So happy to hear that:) I do want a taste of my culture now and then! Yippee hope I'm as lucky.
  7. Has anyone tried eating papusas or temales? I know I'll never be able/or want to eat as much of theses yummy foods. But just wanting to hear from other bandsters, about their experiences with these foods.
  8. Well I had an amazing salad with no problems. So happy great eats all

  11. Yes I agree move move move. I walked almost all day around my house for the first 2 days to get the gas out. With the help of gas X strips, I was pain free day 4 post OP. Good luck hope you start feeling better.
  12. Can you be stuck but with no pain? I feel lots of mucous in my throat and I want to keep swallowing cause it feels like food is still in my throat. no pain, just wondering if this could be my stuck?
  13. Congrats that's awesome! Best wishes on the next journey.
  14. They say it's there protocol, once band is half full. Only 1/2 cc fills and aleast
  15. I was banned 6/26/12, everything has been great except for a few issues. So last Friday I got my last large fill 2cc for a total of 7cc, my doc said from now on 1/2 cc fills. She said I prolly would be super tight with this last fill that I wouldn't be able to get solids down until after noon, from combo of fill and morning tightness. But NO! Total opposite! This is the first time I've felt like I'm starving, my stomach is even making hungry noises. My ankles started swelling and gained 4 to 5 lbs. I called my doc to get a appointment for an early fill and was denied by front desk personnel. so I don't get in to MD for another 8 days. Please help with any suggestions. I feel very heavy, swollen and depressed! Same way I felt before surgery.
  16. Banded 6/26/12 down 35 lbs, just got a fill today. I have 7cc in a 14 cc band. I think I'm to tight though after todays fill.
