  1. Adding something to food to help it slide through the band defeats the purpose of the band. Its usually best to wait a few minutes to allow stuck food to break down and pass thtouhh the band. Learning to eat small bites and chew chew chew is the best way to avoid getting stuck.
  2. Looks like you're consuming more than 2000 calories a day? Hard to shed fat with those numbers? Btw-yams oj cups of fruit are all simple Caribs!
  3. Very normal! Took me 3 fills to find restriction/satiety.
  4. Just because you post something from the Internet does not make it a fact! Some of those so called facts are appear to be not facts at all.
  5. My personal fear with drinking and drunkenness is getting too drunk or too hungover to the point I'm heavving my guts out and causing my band to slip! One beer or one glass of wine and I'm done.
  6. Time for a nutrition consult? Nutritionists are very helpful!
  7. Heccat: re sipping? That's not true. Sipping is allowed. Maybe your doctor does not allow it but others do.
  8. I lost 12 lbs the first two weeks and then nothing for the next 3.5 months. Fill #3 did it for me. I started to lose after that.
  9. I've had 8 adjustments and have no idea how many cc's are in my band and I'm in the green zone!
  10. Pj-I had only lost 37 after 7 months and finally got that fill(6th) that gave me the green zone. I'm glad I didn't give up!
  11. I eat it as a patty and as an ingredient. Meatloaf is easy on my band. I spice hamburger meat up for different uses. I'll flavor a lb with sausage spices to use in my morning omelletes or cumin to make taco salads.
  12. Its more of a stage two food like tomato soup or pureed food. It was one of my favs during my post op diet And after a fill. Made correctly it has no clumps or chunks. You just blend it Into chicken broth.
  13. Its when you get stuck and you burp up the food that is obstructing your band. Its usually accompanied by saliva/flegm that we call slime!
  14. You're ok. It is all in your mind! Just go back to liquids for at least 24 hrs.
  15. Sounds like you are not taking small bites chewing enough and slowing down? If you follow the rules your masticated foods will resemble mushy soup!
  16. Your hubby cant boil water?
  17. You would know if you hurt the band. Relax you're ok.
  18. What do u consider small?
  19. Its probably above avg! U can expect weight loss to slow down after the first 6 months but don't give up on your goals? You're doing so well!
