    For me juice plus garden chews & fruit chews are just say $50 a month. I also do the vineyard chews which are another$31 a month. My daughter is also on the kid study. I've only been taking them for a month now. I see it as a healthy supplement to add to my diet since there is NO WAY I would be able to get anywhere close to taking the 26 fruits & veggies otherwise. Especially since having my sleeve done and needing to focus on Protein.
    I have a friend who takes them and she has taken juice plus for 2 yrs. she said she used to have the acne scars but after taking juice plus they are gone. When I met her I would have never known of the scars on her face. She also has gotten her dad on them. Only since November and he now doesn't have leg pain due to varicose veins!!

    I have one made by Salter. It's digital and I can choose to weigh in grams or ounces. Digital display makes reading it easy. Check out Bed, Bath & Beyond's website - they have several choices.

    I've done that with the turkey (not a fan of the chicken ). I like to use boston bib lettuce or just the meat itself depending on the thickness it can act as the 'bread'. I also like using flatout fold it and make a 'taco'. However you choose to do it, it's good

    I can't drink plain water, it hurts too much. I do a mix of 1/2 G2, and 1/2 water in a water bottle. It cuts the calories and carbs of plain G2, and it's not too sweet. I drink at least 4 bottles of the 16.9 oz water bottles (68oz). I usually drink more, because I work out for an hour and a half most days, so I can drink 2 while at at the gym. I prepare the bottles ahead of time, and this has been the easiest way for me to track my fluids. Once I really started paying attention to this, it seems like the weight is coming off quicker.     1 head of cauliflower
    1/2 white onion
    1 mini cube of knorr cilantro seasoning
    1/2 lime juice
    Sauté onion in a little bit of evoo, add cauliflower sauté til soft add cilantro seasoning and lime juice and enjoy.

    So I am 5 months out and follow the 600 - 800 calories/64 oz min water/min 60 prot/20 to 40 carbs that a lot of people seem to follow. I measure everything and only eat 1.5 to 2 oz of meat for each meal. I could eat more and I could def fit in many more carbs if I wanted. I feel satisfied with these portions...not full. Well, not full like in the pre sleeve days. Sometime, if I feel a little crazy, I add in a few low carb veggie Snacks. Carbs = Cravings and being hungrier for many of us. Just because you can eat more doent mean that you should. Losing weight pretty quickly (115 lbs) and feeling more energy lets me know this is the right plan for me.

    My regret began with my waking moment from surgery. The first 2 weeks have been the hardest. Had surgery on June 29th. I notice that with each new day, regret is becoming further from my thoughts as I focus on the fact that I am running up and down stairs (4-5) with no pain in my knees and I am alternating legs. I used to take one step at a time always leading with my right leg. You can do this! I noticed buyers remorse mentioned above. Although hard - focus on the positives of why you chose this and keep it going. You can do this. Keep coming back to this website for encouragement and validation that you aren't alone. The people here have been my saving grace! They will be yours too!
    Keep it up!! You CAN do this!!

    For a "chips & salsa" treat, I take a mission whole wheat low carb tortilla (3 net carbs & 9 gram protein), cut it into at least 8 pieces. Spray it with some pam and sprinkle a little salt on. Bake it @ 450 on my pizza stone for about 13 minutes. they aren't the same texture as a corn tortilla but they certainly do hit the spot on a Friday or Saturday night when you want something to snack on in front of a movie.
    You could even sprinkle a little cheese on it after they were baked for "nachos".

    I like the Melissa's brand better then the Dynasty. YUM! Love these won ton cupcakes. Had cheeseburger ones last week for lunch, and started on the patty melt ones Saturday and Sunday, and finishing up lasagna ones today!! This girl doesn't need or want bread anymore!

    so with my husband gone all summer I am really not cooking that much but I had to give you guys a heads up. Once a week I have been going to Sam's Club and buying a whole rotisserie chicken for $5.99. I'll bring it home and take all the meat off the bone and put it in a tupperware container. It lasts me all week with myself and daughter. Their breast meat is really tender & juicey. Add it to a salad, use refried Beans and salsa for quick mexican dish. There are so many possibilties. my favorite is just adding grilled mushrooms with low carb/sugar BBQ Sauce to it. The dog loves it to because if there are any leftovers at the end of the week he gets a treat

    How are you measuring food? Measuring spoons,cups or scale? If a scale what kind? Also how do you find the nutriential value of foods you make? I know there are apps or web sites to do this but which ones are good?

    MEWS, yes, talk to your DR as soon as you can. That is NOT normal at 4 months post op.
    I am almost 20 months post op and I do not regret having the surgery at all! The first month is the absolute hardest, so you cannot look at it as the way the rest of your life will be. I can guarantee you that you will be able to eat normally again. I have a normal, healthy diet now...and can still indulge without the guilt. I do have the odd moment when I am eating something really good that I wish I could just eat a little more. Then I remember something that someone else said at a support group meeting...
    "If I could, I would...and that is what got me to the point of wanting surgery in the first place". Plus, I always remind myself that did I spend $10K (self pay), fly alone to Mexico (when I had never flown in my life), and have 80% of my stomach removed just to fail and let food rule me again. Not a chance!
    The reward of being a normal size, being able to buy whatever clothes I want, and feeling good about myself is worth much more than the indulgence of food ever did. All the food ever did was A) make me gain weight, and make me feel guilty and miserable because I would always eat too much, feel bad that I did, then eat more to shove down the bad feelings.
    Give yourself time, it gets so much easier and you will not barely even remember the first few weeks after a while!
