  1. When I ask for these injections, what should I say the reason is for needing them?
  2. I hear many people benefit from B12 injections. Are these administered by the surgeon who performed the sleeve, PCP, other healthcare professional, or self administered?
  3. Give it a couple of days. I was out of commission for the first 2 days.
  4. I did not have a drain. The nuses told me I didn't require one. I think it depends on the person.
  5. I burp constantly. . I feel like Snookie on the Jersey Shore. The difference is I don't do it in public.
  6. A common question surgeons ask prior to surgery is: How do you do under anasthesia? I would definitely inform your surgeon about this experience, and get his take.
  7. Welcome Sabrina! The pre-op diet is hard for the first few days, but it will get easier. Hang in there.
  8. AZ1369... I would eat the salad or have some soup, then you don't have to do any explaining, especially if you are only on day 3. If your really concerned I would call your surgeons office and explain you dilemma. Nicksmom.... Fortunately I didn't experience the liquid in liquid out on the pre-op diet, though I understand your concern.

  11. I'm 1 month out. My husband and I just too a trip to lake superior. ( 7 hour drive ) on this drive the man would stop and get milk duds, whoppers, beef jerky. At first it really bugged me but I got used to it. I just kept thinking.... " this was my decision, and I shouldn't expect him to change his ways, though it would have been nice. Hang in there when the weight starts melting away, it won't matter :-)
  12. Wow some people are such flipping arses! Please stay strong and realize the biatch is miserable in her own skin, therefor it makes her feel more superior to make nasty comments.
  13. You look great! I bet you were getting compliments all day from the other teachers.
  14. My insurance covered at 80/20 with an oop max of $2,000, after a $0 deductible. My hospital just required deductible paid in full, day of surgery, however I have not gotten my bill yet so I'm unsure what the total cost is.

I'm 4 weeks out. I am 5 days late. Did anyone else experience this? I am assuming its the whole weight loss and increase in hormones. I know its not pregnancy, because then it would be either considered an immaculate conception, or I might have some serious "splainen" to do to the husband.
  16. I am 5 weeks out and have hit a stall as well. It is normal from what everyone is saying it happens to almost everyone 3-4 weeks out. I guess we just have to wait it out, though I hear ya it is frustrating.
  17. Ooh I have to try this.
  18. Ooh I'm going to have to read this one! Thanks
  19. Weight before surgery: 257 Date of surgery: 7/30/2012 Current weight: 231 Goal weight for competition: 185
  20. I went on a water slide for the first time in years, about 10 times. I had a blast. In fact Climbing the 6 flights of stairs was a piece of cake. I should start going to water parks for my exercise going forward. Lol
  21. Thank you for sharing your story Phillip. It sounds like you are going to be a sleeve success. Good Luck and welcome.
