confused!
I'm coming up to my 5th year "Banniversary" and have had great success with the lapband. The band is only a tool and you do have to work with it. If you follow the guidelines given to you by your doctor and take it one day at a time you can have great success with the lapband. I have found having support of other "bandsters" a key my success. I meet several "bandsters" on a monthly basis for coffee. It's great to connect with others at various stages of the lapband journey. Do your research and talk to people that have had surgery by the doctor who is doing your surgery. Ask a lot of questions and make sure you are satisfied with the answers. You've Got Questions? I Have Answers!
I agree... depends on your doctor. I didn't have to do a pre op diet. I had no problems adjusting to the various stages of the band. I can honestly say I never felt like I was starving while I was losing. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 140 lbs

Hello Canadian Bandsters Please join: http://health.groups...dianlapbanders/ There will be a weekly chat session every week. (Monday) Also will post coffee groups being hosted. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 140 lbs- I've got my band... but...
The past 6 days for me have been very stressful. I can honestly say for the first time in about 4 years since being banded in '06 that because of stress I almost turned to food for comfort. I went downstair to check my mail today and stopped into the convenience store... the chips were calling my name... I had the toonie in my hand but instead of buying the tiny bag of chips I bought a $2.00 lottery ticket and won $75.00 !! I'm still having a crappy day but feel a little better... I've always said what goes around comes around and Karma can bite you in the behind (I normally wouldn't use the behind). I'm trying to stay positive and I think that if I were not banded I'd be on my third bag of chips right now and on the second rows of cookies. I like who I am now... I've worked hard to achieve my goal and life to short to let people bring me down. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 140 lbs- Anyone living in Toronto, ON, Canada (Durham East) - Coffee Night
