  4. You will most likely see other people in the gym. You can learn from them as well. I started with the eliptical, or the bike it's easy on the joints. Start slow. Also the Internet has everything.
  5. Also try the my fitness pal website it is very helpful with tracking your meals, calories, exercise etc.

  8. I had my surgery 6/25/12 and I am very hungry as well. Still on Protein shakes. I can go about 2 1/2 - 3 hours between protein shakes. This morning I drank one and still hungry. I have lost 8 lbs in a week. Yesterday it was only around 5.5 today 8 lbs. I was shocked, but so happy at least I am losing weight which is the goal. I am waiting for when we get filled and can start eating food. Hang in there

  10. How big is your port site? I had surgery Monday and was very surprised to find mine is around 3 inches. I have six incisions. I had no idea it would be that big. The others are all small
  11. I am 57 and just had surgery this past Monday. Don't know what I was waiting for.
  12. It is hard, but I found the second week I wasn't as hungry. I got banded Monday and now hungry again still on liquids, but I am losing wt so it's a good thing. Drink your protein and water
  13. We are all so different. I can drink the 1/2 protein drink right down no restriction. I wish I had some.
  14. Get to a doctor ASAP. Not sure of your situation but chest pain should not be taken lightly
  15. Great for you, it took me over a year before they would submit my paperwork. The 6 months had to be consecutive. I had surgery this past Monday.
  16. Day 3 for me as well. No nausea, but sore at the port site and sore neck. I started back on protein shakes yesterday and that's going well. I am making 1/2 serving. Seems just the right amount. Good luck everyone.

  18. I had my surgery yesterday. Today I am more sore than yesterday. The gas pains kicked in! I also had a hiatal hernia repair. My body just aches, but I haven't taken any pain meds. My port site aches. I started back on my protein replacement today. I made 1/2 serving and was able to drink it, I had concern I didn't feel any restriction. Is this normal?
  19. Hi everyone Surgery went well today. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. Surgey at 11 am left hospital at 3 pm. Not in pain, but sore. Much better than I expected. I am walking, sipping water and had 2 suger free Popsicles. Thank you for all the well wishes. This website is great support
