Vent Time
I thought the first thing they do is submit to insurance to see if its covered and then they start the testing requirements and nutrition appts. Has the coordinator got the go ahead from your insurance to start the medical tests and nut visits?

Clear Liquids Week 6
Straight from clear liquids to eggs??? I think its full liquids then puree food/mushies then soft food and reg food. I wouldn't think c lear liquids for 6 weeks was healthy enough. I haven't even heard of a pre op diet being clear liquids. Who is your Dr and what city/state? Do u have paperwork for your diet? How are you feeling? I hope your doing okay, that just seems so extreme. Your in my thoughts. Keep us updated on how ur doing!

Doing pedicures is hard work not to mention hard on your body being bent for a substantial amount of time. I would call your doctor and make sure your cleared for your type of work right now. I hope you figure it out. Keep us updated.

5 Weeks Post Op Pain Still?
You're swollen? Can you explain? I would dismiss the pain as muscles getting back some feeling but I'm not sure at all what the swelling would be from. Have you called your surgeon?

I Never Expected This Pain!
No bending over to pick up toys you are healing. Have someone else do that stuff.

I Just Had My Surgery
In the beginning while on liquids and the purees you will not feel as full or as some say *restricted* but you will feel this when you begin soft foods. Do remember to eat Sooo slow and to use a tiny spoon. Best of luck to you! Congrats

Frustration With Protien
The beginning is hard for everyone. Just give it your best and as long as you are drinking water through out the day, you should be ok. Just keep sipping. As time goes by you will slowly slowly be able to drink with more ease.

Please Help!
Yeah, I was told if my pain medicine did not help the pain then go to the ER. So if you take your pain medicine and an hour or two later you have no relief I believe you should go to the ER or at the least call your surgeon. I'm so sorry you are hurting and haven't found an answer to why yet. You are in my thoughts!

Fluid Intake! Four Days Post Op
My nut said 32 oz of fluids the first week or two was fine. You are resting most the time and you're not sweating from working out. I think your doing fine. After week two try to up your water to 64oz But then again everyone's nutritionist are different so go by your drs advice to be safe.

Pain Under My Right Rib Cage
Yea, it could be gas. Even sometimes after the surgery your bowels will get inflamed or painful. It could be muscular or even the dreaded gall bladder. Your best bet is to give your Dr a call.
