  2. Love this post! I use the deli meat inside romaine lettuce and roll it , I call it my homemade unwich Super yummy
  3. Yay Libby!!! That's a super NSV! Love it!!
  4. Don't bother posting unless you agree with the op because he only goes back and changes ALL his posts and comments. That is deceitful and shows your character. You are editing your entire posts and responses. Much more then adding a disclaimer or quotes from other posters. Unbelievable Smh
  5. actually I think you arent reading clearly, I didnt post about the coffee lol that was Doxie but I can say I totally agree with her good day
  6. wow I could say so much on this topic but it has been said by Pookiesm, PDXman,Butterthebean and Doxie so Im done here. I just want to say I am a firm believer in following doctors orders. Also my Dr instructs me himself not his brother so I feel confident it is his expertise I am following. best of luck to everyone. Surgery and healing from it is serious business.
  7. Why bother responding to your post when you go back and edit, add and back track everything you say. And yes you edit every single post by volumes and changes galore. A valid debate never needs editing once given.
  8. It is hard. We will never be able to please everyone or have people feel/think the same as us but you have done what's right for you. Try not to be upset and just look forward to your healthy happy future. And BTW woohooo rocking the size 8's !!!! That's awesome!!!!
  9. This is what I found so far- not sure if it helps but here it is... A stomach obstruction is a blockage which leads to both vomiting and moderate to severe abdominal pain. Because the stomach is now a narrow tube that does not have its usual lateral attachments, it is possible for the tube to kink or twist leading to a blockage. This problem is thought to be very rare, and has only been reported in a few patients across the country. If this cannot be corrected with conservative therapy then an operation to untwist the stomach may be necessary.
  10. Is the other surgeon familiar with bariatric surgeries and what our anatomy looks like after? I'm a little confused here too. -__- If someone's stomach got twisted and they had a normal stomache, what would they do to fix? I'm so sorry youre experiencing this, please let us know how you're doing!!
  11. I'm over 4 months post op and yesterday I went to the great State Fair of Texas. First, I am so happy to say I rode rides with no problems and walked all over the place without getting worn out I think the excitement of such a wonderful day got the best of me. I didn't drink much water or liquids at all. I had maybe half a bottled water and half a powerade. I woke up at 3am with a horrible pounding headache. I have been fighting that headache all day. I think I must have dehydrated myself. Who knew it was so easy
  12. You look freakin amazing!!! Woohooo!!! Lookin good OTR!!!!
  13. You look aaaaaaaamazing!!! Very beautifulllllll
  14. You could be having bladder spasms. It is important that you are able to urinate. Try to relax and give yourself a little longer on the toilet and see if you can, if you start to feel like you need to urinate and it becomes painful with a full bladder, go to the ER Hopefully this is just temporary. Your in my thoughts, I hope you get some relief. One other question, are you getting in enough fluid?
  15. Were you able to urinate before you left the hospital? How was your output? Are you home or still in the hospital?
  16. I use soy milk and it works fine for me. I switch between soy and skim milk just for variety. My sleeve likes both.
  17. My incisions all had the thread/stitches hanging out. I showed my Dr at my post op visit and he said I could leave them or trim them. I just left mine and at about 2-3 weeks they fell off. No big deal
  18. I picked up the tray in the hospital fully loaded, I freaked out but the Dr reassured me if I had done harm I would be doubled over. I was just hurting but it was bearable. Thank goodness for the Dr making the rounds because I was in a panic
  19. I found mine in the grocery store near the coffee flavors You can find a lot more variety online sometimes
  20. Hey Teddy, if you can get myfitnesspal on your phone it helps so much. It let's you know the calories, sugars, carbs, proteins etc of everything your eatting. It's easier to decide if something is good verses bad or even worth eatting. It helps me a lot! The protein bars are good but some brands are heavy in calories but its a personal daily decision based on your needs/intake.
  21. I drink decaf tea and g2. I can't drink the sweeter stuff like crystal light. There are a few vitamin waters that are ok but check the ingredients, not all are 0 sugar.
  22. Yea, the worst part for me was my own feelings about myself. Well luckily we are on our way to being healthy again.
  23. I just want to bring this up about children being cruel. It happens to the skinny kids as well. If a child is thin they get called anorexic, bean pole, twig. They get told they need to go eat a twinkie. Body image is a big thing while growing up and I think children should be taught not to tease other children period. If they are fat or skinny, these words hurt and ruin self esteem.
