    The list above is great....
A few other things I did was cut off of caffeine/carbonated sodas. This was a huge deal for me as I was a Dr.pepper addict.
-Have a support group in place. This forum is great. However, during the time I was on liquids post-op. I thought what did I do.
-Never be afraid to ask questions no matter how little they seem, you need to completely know what is going on with your body.
-Drink as much as you can to avoid dehydration. If I get minimally dehydrated I get a major headache.
-Last remember everyone is different you will have your own sucesses and they may not be the same as everyone else's or as much. But we all have a goal and we will get there.
The last one has got me a few times to the point of tears but I have to remember my body is gonna do what's best for me.
I hope this helps if even just a little bit.

I had this happened post op. I was so embarassed and to beat it all I was not at home but at my mothers with no spare clothes. My kids thought it was funny...I was humiliated. Considering my mom is tiny i had to wear a pair of men's boxers home. LESSON: always try to go to the bathroom even just to pass gas...lol.

ready4change79 got a reaction from PEvette in Wow! I Definetely Have A Sleeve!
The first few weeks on liquids I never got that full feeling...the I ate enough feeling and I wondered if something was wrong with me. Now that I'm adding solids I feel the "you've ate enough" kick in. My weight loss has been slow which has discouraged me some but I'm really trying to see the whole picture. I'm just so glad I feel what I've been looking for.

I love the Edys fruit sugar free popsicles. If you want to change it up. They are rasberry, strawberry, and tangerine. They are great.

After reading all the posts about "eating one bite too many", I'm starting to really worry about what signs I will need to be looking for so that I don't overheat. I'm seriously terrified of vomiting, I haven't done so in 39 years because of my irrational fear. I've been nauseated, but I've never puked. I would much rather feel like poo then to have to hug the porcelain throne. Hahaha!
I know everyone is different and all of that, but it would be helpful if some of the post-op peeps could share their experiences with me. What things can I do to prevent vomiting from overheating or anything else? How will I know I'm full; does it feel the same as before the sleeve? I've researched and read my handbook, but I havent seen anything concrete that I can put in my memory bank
Sorry I'm such a freak, but I have to get the puking monster under control before August 1st. LOL!

ready4change79 got a reaction from MinaT in 1 Week Post Op...7 Pounds Down
I am so proud of myself. As you all know who have been sleeved it can at times be a battle. But as I have seen today one definitely worth it. I weighed 234.5 on June 11. Surgery date was 229.5 after surgery I was 233. At my 1 week post op today I am 222.5. I was so happy. I am also happy that I am starting on full liquids. Ready for a change of food. But I would not hesitate to do it again. (-:

I for one can say I understand where your coming from. I am 6 days post op. My mom is having a cookout and while I am not envious that everyone else can eat. I know im going to want to and I can't still on Clear Liquids. I think this maybe part of the emotional hunger struggle that we go through. We can do it though I will keep you in mu thoughts...so know your not alone. (-:

Peace queen, you have had a rough road and yet you are always supportive of others. Take a step forward and think about the Joy being with your family and friends during holidays and get togethers. They are fortunate you are here with them. Then drink a bottle or a beautiful glass full of Water, add your favorite crystal light. Talk and enjoy the company. When it is time for you to eat....then eat. Just maybe instead of a hamburger on a bun, eat 1/2 the burger without the bun (you know what I mean here). Do not feel like you are deprived, because you are not. Just watch the carbs and foods with high caloric value like alcohol, ice cream, sugars etc. If you are serving appetizers make things that work for your too...deli meat with cream cheese spread etc.
Maybe take someone and go for a walk or add some extra exercise if you eat a little more than normal
Find the positive, like you have shared with others.
    My best to you!
