Yay congrats! Fortunately and unfortunately for me...most things are too big for me these days as well. I pick up a few things here and there but my butt is still wearing saggy underwear and "the girls" need a tighter bra for sure. All good problems to have I know....but still problems (wink).

It's a great feeling but also depressing with the extra money needed to spend. I have gone from a 26 to 12 and hopefully done buying more sizes. I have really learned how to shop well since I am a shopaholic! Today I got a great black leather coat, winter jacket and a pair of Tommy Hilfigger jeans for $26. I was so excited!

Try and just breath. It will all work itself out.

Between the seminars that my doctor's office provided, along with the classes, doctors visits, etc., ALL the information was available......and communicated. For me, I was on such mental overload getting to the point of even deciding to go through with the procedure, than I wasn't FULLY focused on every single detail that came my way. My mind was in a whirl with so much info, and the huge life change ahead of me. Given that my profession of 35 years requires mental focus and attention to detail, and after my OWN absence of mind to some of the details of the surgery process, I'm not surprised when I hear that some people missed some information. That being said, some of the things I read on here still blow me away, and I have to wonder if some folks actually had their primary care physician do the surgery
I've gotten some "missed" info from this forum; all of which was already told to me in the plethora of info from my doctor and his staff.....which I continue to receive. From beginning to end, this is a huge undertaking, and I think that some people deserve a little slack for going brain dead on a detail or two. But then again, there are those that sound like they had drive through bariatric surgery, and didn't receive a road map once they left the window

Nope. I'd say you're a relatively fast loser.

Congrats! I had to walk every 30 mins or so for several days after my surgery. I also flapped my arms around and around to move the gas. This lasted more than about 10 days for me.
Keep moving. It will pass.

It's a great realization to know your life has changed for good...isn't it?
Keep waiting for the bubble to burst as was the case with so many diets in the past , until finally realize this is different...this is surgery....this is for good!
Aside from the permanent scars (ischemia) from my heart attack, with everything else I have a Do-Over...a clean slate, new beginning, 2nd chance.
Only wish I did this earlier....

To all those considering if the band is right for you, or you're banded but not sure if you made the right decision.

A bit of anxiety is normal but as everyone said above.....we all come out on the other side wondering why we were so worried. Keep your thoughts positive and try not to freak yourself out!

Went Monday for small fill. I got .03. Wow it put me in red zone fast . Sheesh now I know what it feels like to b in the red!!! I lost 7 lbs in 7 days. Had 1/2 of it removed. Back to normal now!!! Don't ever wanna let that happen again. First 4 days was ok but of course was on liquids then softs but wow the 5 th day was not fun reg foods was not going. So I'm green now and good to go. Got 20 more to loose before I HIT MY GOAL

I went in for my kink repair yesterday. It turned into a full port and tubing replacement. Once in the site, the doc noticed that the "kink" wasn't bad enough to cause the Fluid to not be taken out as easily as he would like. He blamed the port and replaced both.
This surgery wasn't as "big" as the installation of the band iteself. I am feeling ok today other than port site discomfort.
As discouraged as I was about having to "repair" something, I am so glad the issue was caught early and repaired quickly so that I can continue my weight loss journey.
I could have gotten really upset and discouraged about this but I didn't. I had a very positive attitude and fully understood that sometimes these things happen. I hoped it wouldn't happen to me...but honestly....it is fine. Why not me?
I still have some fill in (doc said just as much as I did before port replacement) but I feel a little less tight. No worries there either, I go in for a follow up in a week and if I need a fill I am sure I will get one.
Thank you all for all the well wishes. I am sharing this info just to be informative....not to be negative. I am one that like's having ALL the info and potential problems laid out for me. Perhaps if someone else has to go through this....please know that it really is no big deal.

I had a pretty strict pre-op diet. All Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes for 2 weeks. It was brutal but my doc said my liver looked amazing (wink).
