  1. Okay, so I know this is a stupid question but I can not find sugar free Popsicles anywhere! However, there are tons of no sugar added! Same or different?! Help!
  2. Yes I had been trying to do a low cal no bread diet before and it probably would have been way worse if I hadn't? Good luck on your surgery Wednesday! Keep me posted!
  3. Yes it has been a struggle for me and yes withdrawals of course! I'm sure I have lost weight , but I won't know how much til the day of surgery because I don't have a scale! No problem with the questions you can feel free to ask me anything! The worst thing for me though was the headaches I had for the first few days! They were horrible! Not as bad as a migraine but it was a make you wanna just squeeze your head to get it to stop hurting! More than likely from the lack of sugar I am used too! But you can do it! Believe me if I can u can!
  4. Good luck Daisy! Talk to you soon!
  5. I'm starting my second week of pre op dieting and have one week til surgery! I hope this week is better than last and flies on by! Anyone else antsy?
  6. Omg! I do feel that right now lol that is too funny! Day 5 bring it on!
  7. Oh most definitely! It really makes you realize how much we never noticed all of the food commercials until now. I remember ordering a medium drink not too long ago and it was huge, which is exactly what a lot of the obesity problem today is. Too much food and portions! So ready for my surgery! Glad I have so many people on here to understand what I am going through.
  8. Thanks Surru! Well honestly it hasn't been anything emaculate...lol That's nice of your husband, mine is very supportive also and is planning to take off 2 days to take care of me, so I feel better knowing he will be there.
  9. So far so good! It was so funny last night because I was scanning through channels and noticed one of my favorite shows was on, so I hit the button not thinking! Man v. Food!!!!!! Really?? I can't believe I did that to myself, however it didn't stay there but 10 seconds...ha!!
  10. I am more anxious than nervous. I may get a little nervous the weekend before the surgery, but God will see me through just fine I'm sure! I am really focused on trying to get through the pre op diet, but I am doing pretty good, just having headaches, which could be from various things...lol
  11. My surgery is on July 2nd! I'm so excited! I am on day 4 of the pre op diet and surprisingly I did not wake up starving this morning do hopefully it's getting better. Hope to stay in touch!
  12. Pretty good! My biggest struggle is afternoon at home because I have to fix dinner for the family, but oh well it's gonna be so worth it!
  13. I would hope not, some surgeons will perform surgeries together, and especially since they use the same surgery holes pretty much, but I would ask for sure! Good luck!
  14. I hope it all goes well for you! I am glad you are feeling better!
  15. Congratulations! So glad you are feeling well.
  16. Honestly I only found two meals in walmart that fell within the range I was allowed. The smart ones Ham and cheese scramble and the Steak tips portabello. The ham and chesse scramble is yummy!! Haven't tried the Steak tips yet because I wanted the other...lol I was told that welches makes sugar free popsicle and they have pineapple and banana kind, so I think I am going to try and get those today which may help with the evening. I never have been a middle of the night eater, so that part is not bothering me. My protein shake is really good on the way to work, my husband just shook his head when I said "ooh this is soooo yummy". Ha! What have you been eating for your meals?
  17. I'm so jealous! I have to do a two week pre op diet!
  18. I have not had this done, I will be banded on July 2nd. However, I would like to tell you that you made your mind up to have surgery and did the things necessary to help change to healthier eating habbits and I know you can stop smoking. I am on the third day of my pre op diet and by far this is a heck of a lot harder than it was for me to stop smoking...lol Here are a few quirks I can give you to try and help. First of all I smoked for 14 years and was up tp 2 packs a day, I always thought I would be a smoker forever, but when I saw a lady that was my sunday school teacher carrying around an oxygen tank in public, it shocked me because I never knew she ever smoked. My grandmother quit at age 76 because she was knocking on severe emphysemas door. I had tried everything under the sun, but my aunt told me to try the lozenges. So, I decided to have my last cigarette on January 3, 2010, I wanted to quit on a Monday, so I had work to occupy my time and weekends was when I smoked the most. I started the lozenges on the 4th and really only struggled the first day. You are told to use one every 30 minutes, but I just would suck on one when I wanted a cigarette and it worked amazingly. I used the lozenges for two weeks and have not smoked since then. After the initial two weeks its all downhill! You will still feel out of habit to pick up one, but then your mind tells you no you are not a smoker anymore. You will feel so much better! No coughing or wheezing, no nasty smell on your clothes or house. I would take the first step by not smoking in your house or vehicle if you do that way it will slow it down and then when you are determined to quit get the lozenges. You don't have to worry about gaining weight because you are banded, so you can do it, I know. Don't let the new healthier you get brought down by smoking later on in your life.
  19. We can do it gabby! I don't have to tell myself no but once lol night is harder for me too but I have found sipping my powerade zero kills my sweet tooth pretty quick!
  20. I have actually done a lot better than I thought! I'm so ready for this and I know it's gonna be well worth it! 2 days down Lacey! We got this!
  21. Omg! Horrible headache right now! Of course it could have to do with all the degum food commercials on tv lol hopefully it gets easier everyday!
  22. My surgeon said if he sees a hernia when he gets in he will repair it right then during my lap band. I don't think I have one, but not 100% sure either.
  23. My pre op diet is for two weeks. From what I understand gabby, the diet is put in place to help shrink your liver so the surgeon has an easier time lifting it and putting the band in place. I made it thru my first day and am on the 2nd day now. I did better than I thought probably because I want this more than I have ever wanted anything almost and I paced my shakes and water throughout the day. You will do great, just reply back when you need some encouragement because I will probably need it too.
  24. No I only have to give blood work the morning of surgery. I have been fighting a small cold the past week and thinking maybe I should have my doctor call in antibiotics to be on the safe side if it does not get any better this week. I am not sure if they are the bariatric advantage, I just remember EAS Advantage low carb protein shake. Let me know how the banana tastes, I may want a change of flavor after this case...ha
