  4. Thank you all! I am seeing my MD on the 22nd and will give him all the info and see what he says. Thanks again for all your input and great ideas.
  5. Thanks for your response. I am not peeing more, but you are right I should drink more. I will work on it because I have always had a problem getting enough water down every day. My blood pressure is still a bit high around 150/90 I take it 3 times a day. Thank you so much for the good advice! I I am getting some water right now.

  7. Hi I was started on blood pressure meds 10 days ago. I go back to my MD on 8/22, but I have a question and can not wait. I also talked to my MD's nurse but have not heard back so was hoping someone here had some info. The new medicine for my high blood pressure is making me dizzy and very tired. At times I am just out of it, I feel weak and light headed. I have never had high blood pressure before, even at my heaviest. I am following a low carb, and now low sodium diet. My sodium is under 1200 mg every day,I am keeping a food diet. I walk 3 miles every day and am down 55 pounds with my lap band. I am 51 years old. The meds are lisinopril 10 mg and hydrochldroy 12.5 mg. I have been taking my blood pressure and it is around the 140/85 range. My MD told me I was starting on a low dose and would up the dose on the 22nd. The side effects I am feeling just do not seem right and I was wondering if it takes awhile to get used to the medicine? Has anyone else felt strong side effects from their BP medicine? Thanks all for taking the time to read my long post. Have a blessed day!
  8. I think not because it could be sweetened with somrthing else,,, like nutrasweet or some other product.
  9. God Bless and best wishes!

  11. Sorry your having so much post-op trouble. Sounds like you need some pain medicine, being in pain is very depressing. Call your MD and let him/her know the pain your feeling. I was in a lot of pain 4 days post-op but now I am feeling better than I have in years. My hunger is in control 99% of the time and I am walking 3 miles a day. My weight loss has been worth every struggle and yours will too. Things will get better, and your worth all the pain and trouble! Feeel better soon!
  12. You are amazing, hope everything goes well with your MD appt.
  13. Everyone is different but I am drinking half decaf and half reg because my MD is opposed to drinking caffienated coffee. I also switched to Almond milk instead of skim milk because the almond milk has less carbs. I have found a low carb diet works best for me. Coffee and almond milk took a few days to get used to but I feel it is part of my weight loss journey. Even without my skim milk I look forward to my morning coffee and without the carbs that slow down my weight loss.
  14. Great! Enjoy your sucess
  15. I think you did great. Hold up a 5 pound bag of flour or sugar, it will help you realize how much a 7 pound loss is a great achievment!
  16. Good job on facing your mistakes and getting on your bike. I make mistakes all the time. Good luck on getting a new fill, tell your MD what happened and how you threw away the chips and started exercising again. If you are working hard your MD will work just as hard by your side.
  17. Good luck You will do great!
  18. Everyone is different but I smoked up to the day of surgery and smoked on the car ride home after surgery. I am not saying it is the right thing to do just being honest. I just made sure I did not smell like smoke going to the surgery center. I do not smoke on my way to any MD appointment.
  19. Try a low carb diet. It has worked for me. It might jump start your losing. The Protein fills me up and keeps me full longer. I also eat smaller meals more often. My lap band doctor has me on low low carbs, I eat lots of chicken, greek yogurt. and Protein shakes . I add 2 tble PB2 and 2 tble no carb chocolate sauce with 1 cup ice,1 cup almond milk and 1 scoop zero carb Protein powder and it is as good as any milkshake I have ever made. It is thick and creamy and about 10 carbs. PB2 is the powered Peanut Butter. low in fat calories and carbs WaldenFarms makes the zero calorie, zero carb chocolate sauce
