I Am My Own Worst Enemy!!!

Recommended Posts

I was doing great and bam i was so tight that they took 3.25cc out. The heat really did a number on my body. Now I feel like I don't have a band in at all. I am still staying away from breads, rice, Pasta but chips boy do they go down well. I am not satiated for as long as before but I know I have to work my way back up to a fill. Now i am downing chips because I can not even cause I am hungry. Old habits die hard. My body is on autopoilet. Trying to gain control. So last night I threw away the chips and got up early to go on my bike and rode 4 miles. Chips still calling my name but must win this battle. I have come too long to gain back all i have lost. So I am not home and next Fri I have a dr appointment hope he will give me a fill again and I hope nothing else is wrong besides just getting tight from the heat.

I need to start going back to MFP as well.

Just posting this to make my self accountable.

Wendy

I'm the same way. Had to get some removed Easter weekend (only 1 cc but it felt like 5 cc!) and it's been a struggle ever since. It felt like I had no band at all until mid-June and even now that I'm back to where I was when I was too tight, 8.3 cc, I still fight constantly. I was in the green zone before and trying hard to get there again, I just didn't realize I was there before!! Even with exercising I'm battling the scale.

June and July I lost one pound each but still not as low as I was. I went to the doctor Friday and they said no fill, that I should be able to do it on my own since I've been losing even a pound. It's frustrating but I know what I need to work on. I'm mad because the weight was coming off at a good pace before and I had to go and ask for a tiny more that I really didn't need. So now I have to suck it up and eat less and move more. I log everything on myfitnesspal and know I have room to improve.

Best of luck to you!! We can do this!!

Good job on facing your mistakes and getting on your bike. I make mistakes all the time. Good luck on getting a new fill, tell your MD what happened and how you threw away the chips and started exercising again. If you are working hard your MD will work just as hard by your side.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
