  1. Well said Carolina girl! Great blog yellow rose....!
  2. Back on track scale numbers going in the right direction and shakes are working out well with one balanced meal. Thanks again everyone for your support!
  3. Thank you all for your support! I am switching to 3 shakes and a protein and vegetable for dinner. This will be a good start on the right track and I have to journal and count calories. I see others with greater loss than I have shown in the same time frame and I know there are always differences not everyone is the same ....just can't fail at this..... failure is NOT an option for me! Again...thank you all so much for your wisdom and support! I am on track again and hope / no will post better numbers by next week! Another fill on the 16th hopefully I will be seeing green!
  4. OK....I have had a few minor indiscretions in my diet; nothing terrible like a binge or anything. Noticed I am trying bites here and there....and now for the freak out got on the scale and gained 5 lbs this morning! I haven't been walking much due to a cold coming on....I am so back on a liquid diet as of this moment and no more indiscretions for me! I will be focusing on my actual hungar and not my head hungar! So frustrating! Thanks for hearing my rant...it's my fault so I am going to dust myself off and get busy!
  5. I make chicken salad with pineapple, or lettuce wraps with healthy choice sliced buffalo chicken, sliced cheese, guacamole, cucumber, tomato, wrap it in parchment paper and then clear wrap. It's yummy!
  6. Start fresh...yes you can!
  7. Walk soon after surgery and walk often. Almost no gas pain for me. My issues were with meds from the surgery. Almost no pain at all after the 1st night! Good luck!
  8. Thank you for your support...looking forward to my next fill on the 16th! Hoping to feel full longer!
  9. I am feeling at a plateau with 4cc in my large band after 2 fills the scale has been very slow! At this time 21 lbs lost from surgery day. Am I on track? Just wondering if I was falling behind, really hard on myself. How are you all doing? Wishing success for everyone!
  10. Love that...welcome to the fight! Yes...you can!
  11. Starting Over! commented on Kime-lou's blog entry in Kime-lou's Blog
I find when the scale is stubborn...the inches reduce. So look at your clothes are they getting looser? Don't let the scale be such a focus...this is something I had to learn I am a slow looser and it is frustrating but I am hanging in there seeking all my successes which are non-scale related as well. I am feeling great also........how about you? So keep up the great work don't give up!
  12. My little secret is only shared with others who could use this tool. I have them swear to keep it confidential. So far no one speaks about it to me and I like it that way! I work in an environment which is full of gossips and judgemental people, so keeping it to myself has worked well for me.
  13. Journaling works for me and exercise if I am out there walking I don't want to mess it up by eating additional calories. I keep telling myself this is for my health! Good luck!
  14. Remind yourself all you have done to get this band! Do not waste any more time make an appointment with Your surgeon and Start Over! It is OK this time you can be successful..... Start changing one thing at a time write down everything you Put in your mouth and show your journal to your weight loss professionals They can help you get back on the right road. Good luck!
  15. This is why I choose not to share my story with my coworkers and acquaintances I have had people giving me advise to lose weight for years and I feel I am an olympic gold metal dieter and as we all know diets don't work. Life style changes do and this band has allowed me a tool to change my life (with a lot of my work as well) This is my story and no one else but my family was with me jumping through all the hoops so I want this to all be for and about me my health and my family! Do not allow others to discourage you...yes, you can do this! We all can do this!
  16. I too was scared and excited and just about every emotion possible! Prior to surgery I made up my mind to relax and just go with it and really did not think about the procedure. I became involved in a great book and my surgery went without a hitch, no complications, almost no gas with no gas pain to speak of. Please don't focus on the negative and remain positive, you will be great! You did not start this process without thought....you had already made up your mind you needed help! You will be in good hands if you reachered your surgeon being in the industry I am sure you may have!
  17. A small pillow or flat stuffed animal...pepto.....liquid Tylenol..tooth brush and paste for the hospital..sugar free Popsicles and jello..protein shakes or drinks keep carbs low if possible...water bottle (like my flip top thermos with no straw)...calcium chews (watch out for high sugar).....chewable biotin....chewable vitamin D...chewable B complex...chewable multi vitamin..probiotic gummys...broth...sugar free pudding powder I added to my protein shakes.....apple sauce....Greek yogurt (light)....good book for the hospital when I was not walking, I read could not sleep. That was my list oh.....unflavored protein powder too. Best of luck to you!
  18. I shared that concern with my surgeon, for me very little pain after the first day it was gone! And yes....WALK! Good luck!
  19. This totally makes sense I have cut back on my protein by making lettuce wraps for lunch. I have been racking my brain for why I have been stuck and it is my reduction of protein....thanks for the tips....going to boil some eggs right now! You rock!
  20. I have had my second fill and am not in the green zone with 3cc fill appear to be stuck at this weight for 3 weeks now. I am trying not to get discouraged, continue to walk thinking about getting a personal trainer just to make the scale move. I had a large celebration this week with my only cheat being a 2oz sample of wine. First and only alcohol since going under the knife. No sweets at all and making healthy choices. Time to get back to my journal I guess to really see what's happening with my intake calorie wise. I have to remain focused, I can feel a difference in my clothes as I have shed an entire wardrobe! Another non scale victory under 100 to lose! I can do this....! Yes..I can!
  21. I am a lucky one not much pain..no gas pain and overall not a horrible experience. Yes, I did partake in retail therapy the very next day ...walking helped ....get up as soon as you can and keep doing laps around the hospital or at home, it is very helpful! Best of luck to you!
  22. End of July this year how about you?
  23. More of life ....Dr Ellison.....who was amazing. I am north of the city.
