  1. I get little twinges now at 5 weeks out. But now they're like, "Eat a little something." Pre-op it was, "GO TO THE CHINESE BUFFET AND EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!"
  2. I got a tooth infection 2 weeks out and was told I could take them temporarily. I'm going to check with my doc next visit on his pain med rules, because liquid and chewable children's Tylenol is freaking expensive.
  3. Isn't it funny how our surgeons slice is open, have to spread apart our innards and see all our guts and blobby yellow fat and we're so worried about making sure our little lady is trim?
  4. All the sleeve patients I know irl are at goal or still losing.
  5. I really hope you feel better soon!!
  6. I'm 5 weeks out and down 23lbs.

  8. Uh oh. Well good luck, here's hoping it's nothing!
  9. That's awesome! It's always so refreshing to see success stories. I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the idea of myself at a healthy weight!
  10. I felt like that for a while after they took my catheter out. Which explains why an hour afterwards I dry heaved and majorly peed myself. 5 days after seems like a while, though. Are you still taking a lot of medication?
  11. Blood pressure medication sounds like a likely culprit!
  12. And make sure you use a quality moisturizing body wash like Dove.
  13. I'm don't think this is easy, but I'll tell you what -- I know it's a big joke that fat people can't keep the damn fork out of their mouth. Well it's true, I couldn't keep the damn fork out of my mouth. I wasn't satisfied with small piece of lasagne, I wanted a piece the size of a brick. Didn't matter if I made if with whole wheat noodles, lean ground turkey, 2% cheese, etc. Those calories still add up! WLS was the perfect opton for me.
  14. No one has the balls to say something like that to my face.
  15. I bought a ton of 1 cup Ziploc containers and fill them about halfway full with whatever I'm eating. Stuff like soup and yogurt I seem to be able to eat a little more of, but more solid food like chicken salad is around 1/3 cup.
  16. I start to gain a little if I haven't had a poop in a few days.
  17. I heard Polly-o (I think it might be regional) recently came out with Pizzeria flavored string cheese and I've been on the hunt for it lately. Heard it's super good.
  18. Imitation crab legs.
  19. There seems to be a mythos going around that leaks are caused by being a "bad" sleeve patient. I don't buy into it. Leaks can happen to anyone, for whatever quirky reason.
  20. Hmmm, that's a new one to me! I'm curious now, too!
  21. My shoes are looser and I'm thrilled. Halfway through my pregnancy last year my work shoes (loafer style) wouldn't fit anymore. When I went back to work they still didn't fit and I was screaming and throwing them across the room. I was probably 2-3 months out til I could even get in them anymore. Now I'm a month out from surgery and can slip them on no problem!
  22. Yeah that's weird, usually they give a much larger time frame. I'd check it out for sure.
  23. Hey what vitamins was everyone told to take? I was told a multi, a vitamin c and 2 calcium w/ vit D. All at different times of the day.
