  3. I was told microwaving anything changes it. My doctor says to avoid microwaving
  4. I have bcbs of nc and all I needed was doctor consent, psych eval, no diet and nutritionist eval.
  5. I've got a 14cc band and have 4 cc in my band. I am down 63lbs since 5/24/12. I have lost consistently but I also follow the rules and exercise daily. I think if your stuck then you need to change something up it's not only about the food your putting in but the calories your burning
  6. Yes I want a koi fish on my right shoulder which I am then going to add onto and make a scene with a Cherry blossom branch on my left shoulder and the water and lily pads under. Very difficult explaining without pictures but it is beautiful. The artist I chose was for his specific detail in other koi tattoos he's done
  7. I love tattoos. I have certain areas I won't tattoo
  8. Thank you so much
  9. M 3 months post op today, I've been doing well. I'm down 60lbs and have lost a total of 24 1/2 inches off my body. I'm so happy. I'm going tomorrow for my first reward for my first goal met. I'm getting a tattoo
  10. Skip meals can cause you to not lose weight. I was told 3 meals no matter what. On a daily basis I struggle to get 800 calories because I'm not hungry but I do get my protein in and that is important
  11. I had my 1st fill 6 weeks out and I have a 14cc band and had 4cc put in. To be honest I've had some restriction from day one. There are days I'm hungrier easier but overall I've stuck to my small portions. I had my fill just done normally with no numbing it wasn't bad at all. My doctor is really good
  12. I love it when you hit a goal it makes you feel so good. Congrats
  13. Was standing in the kitchen last night when my husband came out and wrapped his arms around me and made the comment there was so much less of me to hug now. I'm only about 3 months post op but I'm down 59lbs. I feel wonderful and my husband just made my day.
  14. It all depends on your food choices and exercise. There is not set time for the weight to come off. A lot of people plateau at some point and have to jump start weight loss by changing something up like new exercise routines
  15. That amount is not until you start solid foods. Each persons calorie intake is different. That is something you need to speak to your nutritionist on. For me I am to be eating 1400-1500 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week. I was told not to worry about calories at this point just make sure to get your protein.
  16. There is a pouch made but what you have to understand is that you will have restriction but the head hunger will still be there and you will have to deal with that. The band also won't stop you from eating. It is you that has to listen to your body and realize when you are full. You can still over eat but you will feel bad for a while after. It all comes down to you listening to your body, and figuring out portion control and working with your band. This is not going to be a quick fix like so many believe. You still need will power and control
