  1. 1.3cc in a 4cc band. No restriction so I am having a second fill on April 17th.
  2. I've only been banded since Valentine's Day and I had a fill of 1.3 cc on Thursday of last week. I have never "slimed" so it concerns me that you do and all the time. Kelly
  3. I went to tickerfactory.com and followed the instructions from there. It was a simple as picking your ticker and cutting and pasting the link into your lapbandtalk signature under your profile info. Hope this helps.
  4. I'm so excited for you! When that happens to me I will flying high!! My husband only weighs 170lbs so I have a loooooooong way to go!
  5. Although I've been lucky enough to not have people be as disgustingly rude as some of the people in all of your pasts, I can totally relate to each and every one of you. In reading all of this, what I still can't figure out is why does it take all of us an online forum for us to confide in one another and look for emotional support? I am just as guilty of it. I have been around other fat people before and talking about food and stuff, and I can rarely remember any one of them telling me about how sad or unhappy they were in their current situation in life. They never said, someone was really cruel to me today and it really hurt. It's like we beat up ourselves so much for being fat that we can't even confide in other fat friends and show each other love because we hide our feelings instead like we don't deserve the comfort it would bring to confess them. What I am getting at, is that I am glad I found a place to come each day and read about others just like me that feel like they deserve happiness for themselves and for others like themselves. When I read these posts, I don't see people who hate themselves, or lazy people, or people with no self-control (despite how the media portrays us). I see people who have been cursed with a horrible disease called obesity and who are taking control of their lives and sharing their lives with people who need support and love. It's nice to talk to fat people that finally feel like they are worth it and so am I to share their stories and help each other cope with all we have been through. :clap2:
  6. I am totally on board with you guys! Great idea! I have a full time job and 2 toddlers so it should be a real challenge to find time to exercise regularly, but I am up for it. I really need to get moving!
  7. Thanks everyone for all of your responses to my post! It feels really good to get the support. I don't go to a local support group (haven't really found one yet) so you guys are my support. I get my first fill today at 3:30 so wish me luck. I hope that after I have a few of them, I will be able to look back on my original post and wonder why ever did I get so scared in the first place. Thanks again! Kelly:)
  8. Lessofme, So nice to meet someone who feels exactly like me! In all fairness, I was told that I would have a frustrating first six weeks and that I could expect little to no weight loss my first year because I'm not "big enough". Still, you hope that is just a sick joke and that the weight loss really will happen sooner than that. I just want to see a pound a week and I'll calm down. I guess I'm going to have to do all the work myself for now. Thanks again for listening!
  9. Thanks so much for the support. It is hard to keep things in perspective. My family asks me all the time..."How are you doing?" It gets frustrating because I always say still starving and quit asking. The pressure is greater because everyone knows I have had surgery and are expecting this great difference right away. The fact is, if they really took the time to read about it, they would understand how slow of a process it is. Thanks again renebean! Kelly
  10. I had surgery on Valentine's Day and I followed my diet for the first week after surgery. After I was allowed to move to regular foods, I have completely lost control of myself. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want it and I can't stand myself for it. I have zero restriction and feel the same as I did before surgery only less $15,000.00. Not sure why I can't commit to eating better and lots less. I have a fill finally on March 29th. Should I expect to have more control, or will I still constantly be battling the urge to eat? Any advice? I can take it.
  11. I'm having my fill on March 29th.
  12. :help: I am sooooooo glad that someone posted this thread because I too have been sabatoging myself for no good reason that I can think of. I was banded on Valentine's Day this year and since 2 weeks after my surgery I have been going nuts eating everything in sight! I recently read a post from a woman talking about getting compliments from friends and dancing all the time over her weight loss and I felt really bad that I didn't have the same attitude. I feel like I am being given the opportunity to confess my behavior and hopefully move on with a new outlook. I get my first fill on March 29th and I looking forward to it. I feel like I am letting myself down right now and I am really grateful that I can come to this site and read about people just like me who have similar struggles. I think I'm ready to take control again so I don't have to go to my first fill appointment with some of my weight regained. Thanks everyone. Kelly;)
  13. Thanks so much for your support. I look forward to the day I am filled so I can truly begin my journey! Kelly
  14. Hi! I'm Kelly and I'm newly banded as of Valentine's Day. I had my surgery right here in Champaign, IL and I'm doing okay so far. Height: 5'3" Starting weight: 228 Surgery weight: 212 Today's weight: 212 As you can see. Since surgery I have lost nothing. My band is empty until March 29th and I am starving all the time. I am doing my best to control my hunger with lots of Water so hopefully the scale will move soon!! Nice to meet everyone!
