  1. Thanks for all of the advice. I will try to get a doctor's appointment set up for Monday!
  2. My first band slipped after about 10 months or so. I was already at my goal weight, but I didn't want to just have it removed. I ended up having the band removed and a new band was put in. The first surgery was so easy. I hardly had any discomfort so I didn't even worry about the second one. OMG!!!! It was painful! I guess it hurt more because instead of just having something put in me, something was taken out and then something was put in. That was six years ago and my band has been in a great position every time I have had a fill/x-ray. I wish you sucess.
  3. I am at my goal weight and have been for several years. It's normal for my port to stick out just a tad because I have very little fat on my midsection. I always tend to have a slightly darker skin tone on top of my port, but now it's darker and surrounded by redness. It appears that the darker part of my skin has attached or grown on to my port! I can move the rest of my skin, but not the darker area. If I move a certain way in bed, or touch the dark area at just the right place I feel a burning sensation! I am thinking that the burning is caused by the attached skin being slightly pulled away from the port! I am a teacher and school is about to be out, so I will be seeing the doctor soon. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how it remedied. I am not having any signs of complications with my band. It is strictly my port.
