  1. Mr. Y- I had them all - except the ribs and those I should have had! Welcome to the land of CC&Y! Susan
  2. Thanks LL and Doddie. I am feeling much better this morning. I did have a bowl of cottage cheese and a jello and spent the evening watching tv with Dh. A good nights sleep and I am back on track. I can do this.
  3. And you know what else??? I am sitting here feeling sorry for myself! What a loser!!!
  4. :help: It's almost 7:00 pm on Friday and I just gave dinner to my daughter and I am climbing the walls! This is the first time since I started the CC&Y diet that the smell of food is making me hungry enough to eat anything:hungry: I am really worried about making it through the weekend. I deperately DO NOT want to fall off this diet. :think
  5. Nope - no limit on anything. What I found that works for me is Today: Breakfast - 2 yogurt lunch - 3/4 cottage cheese dinner - probably dry cottage cheese and then maybe a Jello for later. But...this is me.
  6. NO! NO! NO! Mandi - don't apologize. I don't think anyone is thining shut up - we are all so enamoured of your success! This is a support forum for everyone no matter what stage they are at. I for one, want to hear what challenges you and others face during this. Susan
  7. You go Mandi! Okay here it is. Skim or 1% milk 1% or 0% yogurt, can be sweetened but only artificially - Source, Danone has brands that meet the guidelines - most are 40 calories per serving or less. 1% or less cottage cheese - I have also found a "dry" cottage cheese made by Western Dairy that is .5% and has a different texture than the other for variety. SF Jello, Diet Crystal lite, coffee, tea and a minimum of 1.5 L of Water per day Although not on the official diet (you are doing it for a different reason, so go for it) try Simply Egg Whites, to make scambled eggs and something hot to eat! You can eat as much of these things as you need. I will siggest though that you try to follow a Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack regime - expecially since you are going to the gym. Be careful that your calorie count is not too low because your body could go into "starvation mode". (I admit that I have been having less than 400 calories per day and it has not done that yet. Since Monday I have shed almost 12 lbs). Good luck and let us know how it goes! Oh Yeah - breath strips seem essential for me on this diet! Susan
  8. Hi Donna D - I went on April 10th. I wish that I had waited though so that I could have met all you guys!!!
  9. The men on this forum ar hysterical! I love them. Mrs. Yoda and Mrs. CanMacDaddy are two lucky women. I wan't to stop worrying about dying young and leaving my daughter behind. I want to be able to walk in any store and not be asked if I am looking for a gift. I want to wear a pair of killer heels without killing myself. I want other people's jaws to drop when they see me for the first time after a long time. I want to get off all this crappy medication I have to take every day. I want to be able to walk up 2 flights of stairs without needing a hit of oxygen. I want to be on top wihout the fear of crushing my dh. I want to wear sexy lingerie and feel good about it. I want my DH's stocks to do well so he will pay for my tummy tuck and breast lift in about a year!!!!
  10. Hang in there Mandi. I wish I could offer more advice and comfort but I am true newbie and learn way more from you than you could ever hear from me!!
  11. Here I am eating.....cottage cheese! SURPRISE!!! Actually my surprise is finding out that I have to stay overnight at the hospital for my surgery. That sucks. Big time. Except for that piece of news, it was a wonderful experience at my pre-admission at Scarborough Grace. Had my blood work, EKG and chest X Ray done and met with a nurse and anesthesiologist. Everyone was so nice and supportive, wishing me luck and giving me confidence. Wow - less than 2 weeks now!!!!!
  12. Ahhh...I see what you mean. When is your next fill?
  13. You would definitely know better than I....maybe cc&Y would kick start you losing again. but OMG - look at your losses in a year! That is amazing and are you surprised that you have hit a plateau?
  14. I agree with Donna - just looked at your ticker moved again.....woo hoo!
  15. Absolutely! When I was there for when I met him, I arrived an hour earlier because of the time change and a problem with our calendars at work. It was fortuitious though, because I got to talk to a number of other patients at different stages and it was great. I felt even more confident after that.
  16. Thanks for posting that - who is Chris Henderson?
  17. At TLBC I met hiim the day that I booked my surgery - which was a week after my consult. I really wanted some extra time to think about it and they were fine with that. When I called back that I wanted to book they also made an appointment for me with Dr. Yau at the same time. I really liked him and felt very confident (although he does look 15). Good luck with your decision. Susan
  18. Are you out of your mind??? I honestly don't think I will be able to either of them after my surgery :faint:
  19. Hey Mandi, what about doing just small portions of a balanced diet. I am doing the dreaded cc&y diet now and if I were not going to be banded, I am sure that I would gain it all back in a very short time - and not by overeating. I guess if you want to do a dramtic lose in a few days it would work, but be careful of any bounce back. Susan
  20. Hi Leslielee. How are you doing? I recognize that the last month is probably the toughest because you are so close yet so far! I was very anxious to get started! Less than 2 weeks for me now. Keep smiling LL! Susan
  21. Day 4 begins. Last night was a little rough and I was hungry. I ended up having a yogurt before bed because I felt so empty. Down another 3 lbs this morning. I know that will slow soon, but it's fun while it lasts. Pre-op appointment and tests at the hospital today. 1 1/2 hours to get there by TTC. I know I should not complain given that so many people travel much greater distances to have their procedure. Okay I will shut up and read my book!
