Plication reviews
hmmm.....I'm wondering if this happens alot with the plication and Dr. Corovola. The reason I say this is I was just at Los Angles Hospital awaiting a bariaum swaller test with my surgeron Dr. Kelly (I was sleeved). As we were walking down the hall we ran into Dr. Corovola. He pulled my doctor aside and told him he just did a plictaion on a girl and there is a leak!! This was on Jan. 22nd ...so that is two I know of now.

Home from Surgery and feeling like I'm in somebody else's body
By the way, does anybody know why my picture doesn't appear under my name on all my posts and why you actually have to click on my name to see me? Did I do something wrong when I uploaded it?

Home from Surgery and feeling like I'm in somebody else's body
- Home from Surgery and feeling like I'm in somebody else's body
I just have arrived home on Jan. 24th after having being sleeved. I feel great, maybe a little bloated though. However, I haven't needed any pain meds they sent me home with. I woke up this morning and weighed. I know I shouldn't have but I did. I didn't expect to see anything with all the fluids etc. However, I was shocked when the scale told me I was down nearly 8 pounds in 5 days after surgery. Shocking!! This is so weird...its like I'm finally SAFE inside somebody else's wonderful body. Thank you God!!!- Dr. R. Kelly
I just had surgery with him on the 20th. Very caring and compassionate man. Truly cares about his patient more than the dollars. I believe, out of all the doctors I could have chosen in Mexico, God lead me to this man and his assitant Trish. My experience was nothing but wonderful. I'm 5 days post op and have lost 8 pounds already. Best thing I've ever done.- Too much clear fluids?
I feel the same. I think I can get down pretty much gatorade, water, apple juice and broth in a day for being only 5 days post op. But I've lost 8 pounds in that little time so I'm trying not to worry. I too , was starting to think it was the because my 36 bouqie sleeve was too big . However, I've learned it has nothing to do with it.- Time spend thinking about food (8 days post op)
Sorry typo... I meant I knew how much I thought about dieting and exercise prior to surgery. It was my whole life and I hated that.- Time spend thinking about food (8 days post op)
I completely agree. It's strange. I'm on my 5th day post op. However, Im the opposite, i knew exactly how much I thought about food and dieting prior to excerise. In fact, that kind of scared me' about doing this whole thing. I mean I worried if I would be lost after surgery and wouldn't know what to do with my time and my mind.- Today is the day
Thank you- landed @ san diego airport..
I landed in San Diego last night too! I'm lying in Florence Health Hospital awaiting surgery with Dr. Kelly! Best Wishes too you . Is your surgery today?- Today is the day
I'm lying in Florence Health Hospital in Tiujana awaiting sleeve surgery with Dr. Kelly! Whoohoo!- Surgery Scheduled Jan. 20th (Next Week) No Passport Yet
I'm so glad you had a great experience with Dr. Kelly. That makes me feel good. Please let's keep in touch since we are bascially starting this journey at the same time. No, my passport didn't arrive. My coordinator has assured me her driver will ge met over with passport, birth certificate, and proof that I applied already. She says it happens all the time. I'm gonna try it because I've already spent too much in plane tickets, hotel reservations, etc. I'm going come hell or high Water. LOL Wish me luck.- Does anyone here use CalorieCount.About.com?
I like my BodyBugg they use on the Biggest Loser. I love the tracking system connected with that.- Surgery Scheduled Jan. 20th (Next Week) No Passport Yet
Yes, I knew you needed it for sure to fly internationally. That's not what I'm doing but thanks for the response. I'm not worrying anymore because my mother just got her passport today which means mine should come 2moro! Whoo hoo!!! I'm so excited.- Surgery Scheduled Jan. 20th (Next Week) No Passport Yet
Need to know if anybody has any information or advice on this topic... O.K., so my surgery is next week on the 20th with Dr. Ramos Kelly. I am so excited! However, even though I expidited and overnighted my passports they have not arrived yet and neither has my mother's. We still have 7 days for them to arrive. However, my coordinator Sandy Johnston, assures me I can still get back and forth with a birth certificate and driver's license. She says she had done it many times.- 2days post op at home now
Yay for you!- 2days post op at home now
Good for you!- A change of plans. Thanks gallbladder !
I don't have a gallbladder . It was taken out years ago. And from what I understand, it is best to not have one going into the sleeve surgery anyways!!!! So your one step ahead!! My surgery is scheduled for 1/21/2011. I'm so excited! It will be o.k.- IT'S FINALLY MY TURN...I BELIEVE IN THE SLEEVE
Best Wishes!! I've done alot of research and I believe you are in great hands!!!! My surgery with Dr. Kelly is the 1/21/2010! I can hardly wait!! - Home from Surgery and feeling like I'm in somebody else's body
