  1. I'm home now, but battling extreme nausea. I have both Phenergan and Zofran, but neither knock it out. I'm terrified bc I can't eat or drink much yet.
  2. Thanks for asking, Dana. I'm still struggling with extreme nausea. However I'm headed home today with both Zofran and Phenergan, and I'm hoping against hope one or both will do the trick. Such a HORRIBLE FEELING. I just hope I can't make the drive home without vomiting. :/
  3. Hi!! So glad I finally made it hear!! I was sleeved yesterday at 11am and had a pretty rough night last night. Extreme nausea and lots of pain. Today has been hit or miss, but tonight I feeling better. I kept down a sf Popsicle and some lemonade! I'll hopefully be going home tomorrow. I can't believe it's finally done!!!!
  4. And I'm of a sudden SO hungry. That scares the sh*t out if me!
  5. I have to spend another night. EXTREME nausea makes getting my fluids in almost impossible. :'(
  6. Ok, I am all of a sudden very hungry, and THAT freaks me out.
  7. UGH! Last night was AWFUL...pain and extreme nausea. Wasn't able to keep ANYTHING down so I'm here for another day. The nausea is the worst feeling in the world and Zofran does very little to help.
  8. Was sleeved yesterday at 11am and had a really rough night. The pain and extreme nausea was almost unbearable. I couldn't even keep down a couple of ice chips. Today is a little better, but still so very nauseated. The WORST feeling in the world. Have kept down a sf Popsicle and I walked the halls for about 10 minutes. Looks like I'll have to spend another night though. Can't get my fluids in. :'(
  9. IV in (I was SO dreading that)! Now I'm just waiting for the anesthesiologist visit. LET'S DO THIS!!!!
  10. I'm checked into the hospital and in my sexy hospital gown. lol Nervous and ready to get part over with! This is SO SURREAL!!!!
  11. I'm checked into the hospital and in my beautiful, blue gown. lol Nervous and dreading the IV right now....
  12. Waiting to check in at the hospital. I keep having to remind myself to BREATH! This is just SO SURREAL!!
  13. My surgeon says in his experience, leaks occur 6-8 weeks out. I'm curious to hear from some who've gone through it, too. And what are the symptoms?
  14. I'm tomorrow, too!! And also three, small children. I'm doing this FOR them and I'm sure you are, too. Could there be comications tomorrow? Yep, but I know for a fact that I will take years away from them having a mother if I DON'T go through with it.
  15. Ok, I have to be at the hospital in exactly 12 hours. It still doesn't seem real!! Butterflies in abundance!!
  16. Nervous and excited...nervous and excited...nervous and excited!!! I'm ready for tomorrow to get here and be gone!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S TIME!!!! LET'S DO THIS!!
  17. If only it had been that easy, huh?!
  18. I'm not "coming down" on anyone and I resent you insinuating otherwise. I am merely shocked that any physician worth his or her salt would perform such a drastic weight loss procedure on a person needing to lose only 34 pounds. I simply asked a question. It's quite possibly a typo.
  19. I'm tomorrow at 10am!! I have to be there at 8am and I have a feeling that I won't sleep a WINK tonight. Nervous and very, very excited!!
  20. My closest girlfriends and I have been friends since high school...25+ years!!! So they aren't going anywhere. Anyway, they're all much thinner than I am and I know at times they've had to "adjust" our activities to slow it down for this fat girl. They're my biggest cheerleaders and they kick me in the butt and love me unconditionally! I can't wait to NOT be the drag on our biannual Girls' Weekends!!! Having said that, when I was younger, I absolutely had some "friends" who would've gone by the wayside once I wasn't "the fat friend" anymore. Luckily, I cut them loose years ago!
  21. I'd rather be in pain than be nauseated! It's such a horrible feeling, and I seem to be easily nauseated. I'm trying hard not to "borrow trouble" as my grandmother used to say, but it does worry me.
